“So the rusty hook is an interesting place. It's a little bit dive bar, a little bit cheers and a little bit..... Different. If you haven't been, it's worth a try. You'll get patted down before you go in but that's how they keep out the riff Raff. The drinks are well made and strong, the clientele is usually really nice and karaoke night is a blast (it's Thursday by the way).“

“I've lived in Manteca for almost 4 years and don't "go out" often (if ever ?)... I stopped in on a Friday night/Saturday morning (12 a.m.) I don't like going out on weekend nights (I'm too old to deal with out of control children) I just needed a drink and be on my way... I was able to sit at the bar as soon as I walked in... sports on the TV, pool tables, dart boards (wish I was in the frame of mind to enjoy) for a Friday night, I was comfortable... cops were on patrol, but for me that made me feel better ??‍♀️ service was quick, polite and heavy handed lol“

“Well, I thought I'd be just another Mexican restaurant, but as soon as I walked into the Las Casuelas Restaurant and smelled the amazing aromas...I knew right then and there this was no ordinary Mexican restaurant! I came to Manteca to give my old Triffids Arcnobbler to my pal Dallas Cromlonger because he's been eyeballin it for 30 years! It'll be a surprise birthday present and I'm giving it to him at the Las Casuelas Restaurant. The food...all I can say is...Man-O-Man...WOW! It was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

For my main course, I opted for the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender, and the creamy tomato sauce was rich and aromatic. What truly stood out was the quality of the ingredients and the care with which each dish was prepared. You must try their in-house made sweets too. The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff happy to answer questions and make recommendations.
