Upon first arriving, a gentleman was blocking the entry door while on his phone. My first thought is why is he blocking the door and in no rush to clear the way for patrons? I found it rude, then when he comes inside and behind the counter as an employee, I found myself more offended. He wound up taking our order and was kind, but my first impression of him was that he was rude.

We've been eating at Habit burger for close to 10 years. Our first 100+ experiences with Habit happened at the Alameda Habit Burger in the Safeway parking lot near the Webster Tunnel. The vast majority of our orders were great, staff was friendly and good at what they did, and we had no trouble. Then we moved to Manteca, California, a small, low population cow town about 60 miles away from Alameda, and we started eating at the Habit this negative review is about. We've eaten at this location 30-40 times in the last few years, and we've noticed a major difference in reliability and customer service. More specifically, this location made a mistake with an order once and we had to take the food back. The manager instantly became adversarial and accused us of making up the problem despite our many, many orders, and demanded we give him back the food. We actually had the food with us and handed it back, and his attitude did not change. No apology. We received a replacement later. We've been ordering online and picking that food up in the drive thru for about a year now. Today we came to pick up our food after the website said the order was ready, and when we got to the drive thru window the staff bizarrely claimed "it wasn't ready / you can't get your food in the drive thru, you have to come in" even though the food was in a bag, ready, pre paid, 5 feet from the window. Someone I *think* was a manager came to the window when we demanded our food or a refund, and this fast food manager tried to explain to my family of medical professionals and immune compromised folks that "COVID is over, come inside" when we mentioned the ongoing pandemic as our reason for not wanting to go into a crowded restaurant. We asked him if he was a medical professional, since he was discussing a medical issue, but he said "no and I don't need to be, I watch the news", as if his unhinged, unscientific opinion should motivate us to go inside when our food was 5 feet from the window. Instead of losing the sale, throwing away the food, AND being forced to give us a refund, this man wisely opted to hand us our food, but not before offering his opinion to my family about a *pandemic* from his position as a fast food clerk. This drops our rating of this location to 1 star, or 0 if we could, until management and/or corporate contact us about this matter. We will be getting in touch with the store to verify of the person we spoke to was the manager, and making appropriate complaints.

All I know is this place has the worlds best Sundays everybody in the whole world should get one they are so cheap and they are so big and they are so freaking beyond delicious. Oh my God 10 stars from me. If you have a sweet tooth that is.

Placed order in store. Employee asked if my order would be cash or card. I indicated that order would be cash,; two separate orders[ one order 10 piece crispy chicken bites with french fries; the other order; 10 piece crispy chicken bites with sweet potato fries. When my order was ready it was placed in one bag. I told individual who prepped order that it was 'separate orders' and she stated she wasn't told that and just left order in one bag. She identified herself as Manager. Before leaving facility I returned to counter and had her rebag my order. She in turn asked what my order was. Very poor Managerial skills.

My brother bought food from this place and the food was so soggy and disgusting it almost made me puke and the smell was just so painful and disgusting. I don’t recommend eating food from this spot.

Wait was horrible only to receive cold onion ring and green beens as well as a patti melt after being given wrong order. Also ordered South Western char with avocado and receive bread with lettuce no burger no avo, when shown before even leaving the counter sent back the kitchen threw an old burger patti on and passed back. Horrible experience staff and food!
We started New Years by stopping by to have lunch here. The place was not busy upon arrival but we eneded up ordering on the kiosk machine. My boyfriend ordered the portabella char burger. I went for the original char burger without cheese and with raw onions. Food here doesn't disappoint. The burgers tasted good. Overall, we enjoyed the food that we got.

I got a BLT here today. There were sprinkles of bacon bits. It wasn't even pieces of bacon. It was like bacon bits you find in the store. Ridiculous.
