Tequila flight was way too expensive for what it was, weak. Food slightly below average. Price, expensive.

Great drinks and Mexican cuisine ... margaritas!
Outside dining very rustic and kid, pet friendly.
Loved the fish baja tacos, taquitos and shrimp quesadilla!
Everything is good and staff very experienced and friendly even when busy! The place is great for larger groups and it's easy to stand and converse in some areas.
Prices very decent and plates are large n well presented...

Very friendly and relaxed vibe. Food was delicious with fresh ingredients. We only had a day in LA and a local recommended it. Great choice!

I used to come to this place and it was great and it was a great ambience. I decided to come back but I don't know what is worse not being able to pay with an American Express card or not being able to get a blended drink because they cut down on the blender.
So if you want to drink Coca-Cola and the pay with cash that's the place. Compared to the old days the place is fairly empty. No wonder.

As a restaurant listed in Resy, I was surprised it does not accept American Express. Food was great, service was okay. Would go back if they accepted AMEX.

Average food and drinks. The best thing about it is that it’s open late

Relaxed atmosphere with mainly outdoor seating and plenty of shade! Far enough from the beach that it’s not crowded. Fried fish tacos were excellent, especially the fresh corn tortillas! I will definitely come again.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Baja Cantina! As a Chef and Event Planner- I rarely see establishments that consistently deliver an amazing product with attentive service! Last August 9, 2025 I helped plan a Tulum Birthday party at Baja Cantina. From the first walk through, to private food tasting, to personalized curated cocktails, to warm transparent wait staff- I had a 5 STAR experience!

Shout out to Manager's Rosie and Piero for running the event and keeping us on time! Chef Daniel- the tray passed Appetizers, Guacamole Bar, Taco Bar, and Mini Artisanal Desserts were all beautifully presented and delicious!

As a fellow hospitality professional- BRAVO! Well done Team!

This place was absolutely amazing. The margarita flights were so good. They had a good variety of options! The cucumber jalapeño margarita was our favorite. My quesadilla tasted authentic and had amazing flavor. We were seated outside right away. The waitress was super friendly and quick. There were only a few servers and she did phenomenal for all the tables she was waiting on. The outdoor area reminded me of being on a beach in Mexico. I will definitely go back here if I am in Marina Del Ray again!

Have to ask yourself why youre going. If its for drinks and ambiance, you'll love it. If its for pure quality of food, its really no different than a taqueria. It is, however, quite expensive for a quick/sober meal. I suppose thats why everyone on the patio had margaritas in front of them. The breeze on the patio is quite nice.
