Stuart was an excellent waiter. After a long cross country flight and feeling totally exhausted, he was a kind and helpful waiter. He was also very attentive but not in an annoying kind of way. My daughter and I had the bucatini pasta with shrimp and calamari. It was very flavorful and hit the spot.
The view is outstanding. The taste of fresh fish and the quality of wine were unforgettable.I advise you this restaurant to try and enjoy
The hospitality for my mother‘s 70th birthday was unmatched. I believe a woman named Sylvie helped us from friends and she was absolutely incredible. No storm was left on and we felt very welcome there especially with our together.
Just wish the waiter would attend to us without always having to wave him over - to take our order and everything else
We had a strange experience at Cast and Plow. We reserved a table for 4 at 6.30PM for dinner. We had to take important clients to dinner on the way to the airport. We figured this would be a nice, quiet place. Unfortunately we were having massive wild fires in LA with evacuations and the hotel was jammed pack with people who were evacuating. The restaurant was mobbed and understaffed. There was inadequate leadership at this Ritz Carlton where the restaurant is located. As a result after ordering at 7PM we still had not received our meal at 8:30. We got no feedback on the situation. Finally at 8.30, we had to leave to take our clients to the airport. At that time we were told it would be another half hour before we received the food. So we left without eating after waiting for two hours. It was a small disaster for us, not like people who had to evacuate. None the less there was no leadership at the hotel and no communication. By the time we left the restaurant was pretty much empty. It could have been handled more professionally.
Beautiful view, great ambiance, excellent service, tasty food. I only wish they had more of a selection and/or would switch up their menu occassionally.
Everything was fantastic! We had excellent service from our server Severine. We loved it all. 😊
Living in MDR and Venice for almost 15 years, crazy to how many of the nicer restaurants have closed. It looks completely different than 10 years ago. No more Chaya, Tasting Kitchen and the Rose just closed. Obviously the Ritz has the staying power of corporate dollars. This is a great location in the marina and always has some good wines and champagne on the menu.

Great to look out at the marina. Everything else here was abysmal.

Restaurant is in the Ritz Carlton. We ordered the octopus and squash soup as starters. They were tasty. Then we ordered the curry falafel along with shrimp and calamari bucatini. The falafel dish was quite good. The pasta and seafood dish was excellent. The serving size was just right. Nice views of the marina. The outside tables have a fire feature in the middle of table. Service was friendly and efficient.

Insane pricing, but good quality food.
Been here for breakfast. Only valet parking, breakfast is la carte menu, and expect to spend at least 90$ per person here for a breakfast.
It would have been nice to get some bread as a side when you pay these amounts of money.
The waitress was good, but the receptionist let me wait for a table for around 15 minutes while most of the tables were empty..

We waited more than an hour for breakfast... and they still hadn’t brought what we ordered.

Great little spot in the Ritz. Loved the açaí bowl and the avocado toast. Actually, we liked it a lot more than we thought we would. Highly recommend trying it. Great service you would expect and right along the water.

Nice views of the marina. Seems like they keep reducing their lunch menu. Every time i go its smaller.

Even though I live here in West LA I had family visiting town for an NFL game so they chose to stay at this MDR Ritz location. We decided to have Cast & Plow for dinner and then again for breakfast the following day before heading out. It is a beautiful location right on the water and you can view the docked boats during your entire meal. Outside seating on the patio has private seating with individual fire pits which I thought was a really nice touch. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot except for the hotel. It will be valet or you can park in the parking lot across the street and walk over. Our servers for both meals were very polite and all of our items came out quickly. I’m giving it a 4/5 because the flavors were good but not great. I have had better dining and other Ritz hotels domestically and around the world.
For my dinner I chose the Lamb Loin and the Seasoned Fries and thought both were pretty good. The Lamb Loin had a nice flavor and I especially enjoyed the zucchini mole which was a unique take on this dish for me. I felt the portion size was fair and overall it was pretty good. The next morning I had the Huevos Rancheros with upgraded Chorizo and thought it was fairly good however, they gave me a tiny amount of chorizo which paid extra for. The eggs were cooked perfectly and there was a lot of cheese and crunch, but thought it was a very small portion and I felt hungry afterwards.
Overall it is a nice option when staying at the hotel but I would not go out of my way for it if I wasn’t already staying there. I would suggest if you are visiting the hotel and want a convenient meal, however, most of the items on their menu you can get for room service as well.
Parking: valet if parking @ the hotel
