The West Burger was phenomenal. However, for the price I would have expected a burger twice that size. The season fries were also very good. $25 later on my way out the door I asked for a cup of ice and the girl behind the counter wanted to charge me $250 for a cup of ice after spending $25 on a burger the size in which I could get at the In-N-Out.I was very offset by this and most probably won't return as a result.

The food is ok, its somewhat plain and seems like they put a bunch of things together and theres no rich flavor to it,it just seems like you could make the dishes at home for much less price and it would have more flavor to it. I don’t think i’ll come back.

Firstly, the cashier didn’t give me the correct change, which resulted in a few minutes of waiting to receive my $20 back. Secondly, the burger wasn’t particularly good. However, the fries were quite tasty. Despite this, considering the $30.63 I spent, I expected a more satisfying combo. Overall, I didn’t feel that my money and time were worth it. ??

I recently visited Fat Sal's in Venice Beach and was thoroughly disappointed with my dining experience. I ordered the #1 milkshake, featuring chocolate ice cream, toasted marshmallow, and peanuts, and it was a letdown from the first sip. The concoction tasted bland, as if the ingredients lacked any genuine flavor. To make matters worse, the shake arrived melted, showcasing a lack of attention to detail in preparation. The use of cheap cream was evident, leaving a lingering aftertaste that was far from pleasant. I couldn't help but think I've had better milkshakes at fast-food chains like McDonald's.Moving on to the Italiano sub, my disappointment continued. The bread was undeniably hard, robbing the sandwich of any enjoyable texture. The flavors were bland and generic, with nothing standing out to distinguish it from a mediocre sandwich. The quality of the meat was, at best, average – a far cry from the superior subs offered by other popular sandwich joints. Even the French fries, though made from fresh potatoes, failed to impress. They were bland, resembling cardboard, and left me wondering if they were fried in cheap oil rather than the flavorful richness of tallow.Service at Fat Sal's was mediocre at best. The staff seemed disinterested, and the overall atmosphere lacked the enthusiasm one would expect from a dining establishment. Considering my underwhelming experience, I would generously rate Fat Sal's in Venice Beach a 2/10. Never again!!I ordered $200 worth of food and got outside and they didn't put my $10.00 milkshake in the order..so I had to sit 15 more mins while my food got cold to wait for them to make my milkshake...nope..1 and done...I won't ever be back!! In fact I feel you owe me money back!!!I dont pay $200 for cold burgers!!

Phillycheese Steak Sandwich taste better in my opinion. Nice location right on the beach. You cant beat that. Cool customer serivice. I will have to get used to Fat Sals. We have no locations in Orange County.

I really like the concept of the restaurant.The food is unique and really good!!! Is fast food yes, but is something different i had never experience before.It is expensive... Yes! 2 burgers, 1 combo and 1 cheese fries per $51.But according with the location and what they offer i will say it worth it!

We love finding spots with genuinely good food that aren't pretentious, and this place is exactly that. Perfect environment for Venice Beach, absolutely incredible food, and even better service. I'm currently on crutches, so going out to restaurants can sometimes feel like a hassle. Bryan took care of us so well and made sure we had the best possible experience! I didn't have to leave the table once to ask questions or go back for a milkshake order. We can't recommend Fat Sal's highly enough!
