Locanda Positano is one of our favorite local Italian restaurants. On this particular occasion, it wasn't quite as stellar as usual. The food was good but the restaurant was very quiet (Easter Sunday dinner). As a result, service was a bit lax (non-attentive). I indicated when making the reservation that our group of 6 would be celebrating a birthday. There was no acknowledgement of it, which we found disappointing as we had celebrated a birthday there before. We'll go back, but this meal was not as memorable as we had hoped.

Our entrees were fantastic, the calamari was not worth it - boring and basic. Everything else was spectacular.

Literally a hidden-gem on a nondescript stretch of Lincoln Blvd, I finally walked up the street 8 minutes to Locanda Positano for the first time and had a delicious dinner of fresh pasta - long overdue! Pictured are: Orecchiette con Salsicce E Rapini & Insalata con Radicchio E Pere...both fresh and light tasty sauce & dressing respectively... #LocandaPositano #ItalianFood #italianpasta

My wife and I had dinner at Locanda last evening and I'm only sorry we didn't go before now. The food was very good, priced well and came to us in a reasonable amount of time. It's a charming restaurant as are the owners. Perfect for a romantic date or small groups. Fortunately they have valet parking which adds much to the convenience of visiting. We certainly will go again.

Always great food, service and very accommodating. Wine list has nice selection and can't forget the lemon cello.

We made reservation in advance however 30 min of wait and our table is not ready. Thank you for ruining our Valentine day.

I recommend approaching the restaurant going southbound on Lincoln so that you are on the same side of the street as the restaurant. If you're going northbound on Lincoln, it is near impossible to make the left, especially in traffic. I would call this a neighborhood gem. Great ambience. Both indoor and outdoor dining and nicely decorated. Very nice. In my opinion, a great "first date" place or for special or out-of-town guests. Noise level is low. Great tasting Italian food. This was my first time, but has joined my list of go-to restaurants .

One of the best Italian foods on the west side. very cozy with great service and great drinks. I love this place for special occasions, anniversaries Valentine's Day, birthdays, graduation.

This upscale, romantic Italian restaurant is a hidden gem in Marina Del Rey. Their handmade pasta and extensive wine selection is absolutely top notch. I always leave here full yet craving more! The host and wait staff are all super helpful. Our meal was perfectly coursed out and never did we feel like we were waiting for our food. We will be returning! :)

Ordered veal limone or veal piccata as it's commonly called. Instead, I picked up veal in a savory gravy with capers, mashed potatoes and something resembling spinach. No lemons or lemony taste. Plus the food was so salty it was inedible. Being sick with no food in the house, I ate it. Yuck. Someone posted that it was the best Italian food he ever ate. This dude needs to get out more. Spoiler alert- Marcella Hazan has a wonderful recipe for veal piccata. I hope they take the tip.

It was New Year's Eve and they kicked us out at 10:30pm!!! The food was average for what we all ordered. Very disappointing. We paid over $600 mostly food with one bottle of wine. The Reservation was at 9:00pm. This is criminal!!!! Shame on them... so many restaurants in LA. Never going there or recommending Locanda Positano.

Food was good. The restaurant is small and it felt a bit claustrophobic. Service was ok. I think the owners were working and unfortunately they did not seem friendly. Left feeling meh.

Unquestionably the only great restaurant in MDR. Just moved here and have tried all the high end restaurants and this is the only one I'll go to regularly. The food is fabulous, the service is great and the owner Patrizia is a delight. Try the veal and the gnocchi for certain.
