The food is all excellent. My favorite was the watermelon sushi pairs and the dragon roll. All the presentation was beautiful but our server was a little slow and messed up our order but everything was excellent.

While many vegan restaurants are closing or adding meat and dairy to survive, Planta is thriving. It goes to show that taste matters. If you want to be successful in vegan world, you have to work hard, be a top chef, and be creative in the kitchen.Planta has all that. It has top chefs, pleasant atmosphere, a great location by a marina, and the most that matters is the food taste that is incredibly delicious.I doubt it that their customers are all vegans but customers just keep coming to this restaurant. It really is doesn’t matter if there is no meat nor dairy, it is the food that is incredible. It is not cheap eating here but it seems that it doesn’t matter to most people as they want to get what they pay for.We enjoyed Firecracker Roll, Bang Bang Broccoli, Udon with mushrooms and black truffles, French Toast with blueberry compote, and desserts: banana pudding and big cookie. The cocktail I tried was Herb Your Enthusiasm which was delicious too and I usually don’t drink but I wanted to try their cocktails.We will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Vegan but so delicious so many people like it

I went for Happy Hour. The space is breathtaking and feels like you're on a tropical island. I live in the neighborhood and was excited to finally try Planta out. The view, wine and food were excellent, very fresh and I enjoyed the smaller portions that were shareable.The service was subpar to say the least. We had to ask for things multiple times, we received food we didn't order, even though we ate it, and payed for it without fussing over it. The servers never made eye contact with myself or the other in my party and we were dismissed by two different servers. It was extremely uncomfortable and left a bad taste.

PLANTA never disappoints! Before this visit, we’d been to PLANTA in New York and were blown away by that place. So definitely when we were in LA, we wanted to try this place again.We tried the April specials - firecracker roll and the peanut tofu. The firecracker roll was amazing. The peanut sauce with the tofu was to die for.We also tried the dragon roll and the croquettes both of which were great .The drinks were also amazing. The mezcal me maybe was so great !The only thing in the experience that wasn’t great was the desserts. We tried the passion fruit tres leches which was very dense. I wish we would have skipped dessert .Overall amazing experience and would love to go again !

A vegetarian / vegan's heaven! We came here twice - once with our vegan friend who lives in a rural town on the East Coast who does not have very many opportunities to dine out. The joy it brought him was priceless. We were able to watch the sunset on the marina just prior to dinner (the backyard of the restaurant is the marina), and we were able to enjoy such delicious food. All of the flavors are so unique and delightful. Will definitely be visiting again!

I received no incentive for writing this review. As a person who typically has meat with every meal, this place met way beyond my expectations. Every dish I tried was delicious and super fresh. My favorite bites were the Maitake mushrooms and Udon noodles with black truffle ? ? My server Katie was just awesome and explained the menu perfectly. All the stigma around plant based foods has been shattered for me. I will definitely be back! Oh, and you can't beat the beautiful views of the Marina!

Fabulous all around experience. Wait staff were amazing, nice ambience and of course the star of the show is the food. WOW, who knew vegan could be so good, and could resemble sushi so well in texture and deep and delicious flavors. We were so impressed and can't wait to go back.
