Absolutely delicious coffee, Acai bowls and pastries. Haven't even gotten to the pizza yet, but I'm at the Marriott all week - pizza is next. Staff are delightful and engaging. Decor is decent. I'll be recommending it to the conference participants.

The lady working was super nice and accommodating. Only plastic utensils and paper plates made it difficult to enjoy. The pizza tasted decent, but was a mess to eat by hand and impossible to cut with plastic cutlery. Please get real silverware!

Look, I'm going to go as far as saying that this place delivered some of the best pizza I've had in the US. Lots of ingredients, super tasty and super fresh. Although it might not look like much from the outside, this place packs a punch!!

Great pizza! Crust was just the right thinness but still crispy and not too floppy.

I have been buying pizza from Sampas for a few years already. Being Brazilian myself, I'm happy to have them close to our home and order from them often. I love their pizzas and also some of desserts, like the Brigadeiro cake. Today, I ordered 2 pizzas to take out and wanted to add some slices of the Brigadeiro cake to my order, and there were already a few cut and in plastic containers. I could easily tell those slices were old and dried by looking. When I mentioned that to the girl helping me she looked at them herself, made a face and agreed by saying "I know, that is bad ". So I asked her for some slices from the fresh cake that was right there in plain view, instead. I could not believe my ears when she actually told me no, and that I could not have new ones and she insisted I buy the the old, stale ones first!!! Seriously???Now, if I am paying $7.00 for a piece of cake I should be able to choose a fresh one. This person should learn more about what she should and should never say if she is in a customer facing position in a restaurant! After I got home I called over there. She answered the phone and I asked to speak to the manager. She refused to put the manager on and then said she wasn't there. I asked when she'd be back and she answered "I dont know, she was here earlier" which isn't really an answer... I then asked for the manager's name and after 5 seconds of silence she asked "Why?" I repeated the question and she reluctantly gave me her name after another long pause. She clearly realized it was me calling by that time and reacted very poorly. Just BAD BUSINESS any way you slice it!

supreme, no mushrooms, lightly done was yummy. place is conveniently located and clean; just not quite 5 stars due to flimsy wobbly table.

The most beautiful people and the pizza is wonderful!! I was in a party of 4... Everyone wanted no onion and I said I was the only one that liked onions... She heard that and put onion on just a small part of the pizza! Just for me!! I didn't ask... But she listened! Portugues and Calabresa pizza was sooooo good. And the dessert??? Oh goodness...Yum!!! Try it all. You will not be disappointed! ❤️

Wow. Surprisingly good!As a New Englander that worked on Wall Street, I know my pizza. I actually led a pizza tour a decade ago, sampling more than 40 pizzerias along the Northeast Atlantic coast (sort of what David Portnoy is doing these days..... maybe he stole my idea?).I rarely eat parlor pizza in LA because most of it is crap, or tastes like it should've been born an enchilada. There are few exceptions, but most of them are quite the drive from Venice/MdR. I live around the corner from Sampa's, and never even noticed it until I rode my bike through the parking lot and saw it. I wasn't that interested until I looked it up and saw some very decent ratings. I happened to have my pizza connoisseur son with me, so we ventured in, expecting to be disappointed like we have many times in the past. But no...... Sampa is quite the surprise!Because they pride themselves on having a Brazilian twist on some of their dishes, I opted for a traditional meat-lovers pizza, and decided on the Sao Paolo (chicken, corn, mozzarella). Both were delicious! I won't say it compares to traditional East coast pizza, but that wouldn't be a fair assessment. Sampa has their own style, and they own it. The ingredients are super clean, flavors are unique, and you just have to try it for yourself.I'll be back!

I stopped in for a drink. Nice place. I'll have to try the pizza on my visit.
