Got the chicken katsu and wings. They were both fried perfectly and had great flavor. Like other comments said it took about 45mins to get our food. I didn’t really mind waiting for a good meal! Would wait again for a meal :)

As an individual that has lived in Hawaii for years many moons ago. I was excited to find this place. The gentleman at the counter was awesome and patient. I wanted to order everything as this place took me back to Oahu. I settled on the chicken katsu and wings mixed plate. When I opened my plate, it was like I went back in time. Just how I remembered it. The scoop of rice. The scoop of macaroni salad. Crispy chicken katsu and wings. Oh my! I dove straight in. And this is where the heartbreak begins. No Flavor! No Flavor! No Flavor! Well except for a tad sweet flavor that kept crossing my taste buds. I don't remember the chicken katsu having a sweet taste to it in Oahu. But nonetheless, I tried to enjoy this plate. The rice was cooked to perfection. The star of the show... the macaroni salad. Creamy, tasteful, perfect! It's almost like the macaroni salad was shipped here from Oahu. I couldn't get enough of it. I was hoping the rest of the plate stood up to the sand standard, but I can't say that it did. With that being said... if I were to visit this establishment again...I would just order the macaroni salad. Can't go wrong with that. Aloha!

Definitely a local spot. Great food. Great service. Might as well be on Oahu. Killer katsu, kalua pork on fire. Good kimchi, standard musubi. Halau next door. C'mon. Good Grinds

Absolutely the slowest service you will ever have at a takeout place. Be prepared to wait longer than you wanted that day.

Instagram hype over food was overrated. Wings were very good, but the rest was mediocre. Friendly front service, but our food took TOO long (40 minutes). We ordered wings, rice, macaroni salad, and breakfast fries.

Best Hawaiian food in monterrey County. My humble opinion. Daily specials Monday through Friday, lunch and dinner specials the same. Homemade pies. Spam & Portuguese sausage breakfast specials

Great Hawaiian food in Monterey! The portions are generous and everything is freshly made. I had the Teriyaki Chicken, while I was expecting it to have teriyaki sauce, it didn’t, but it was still quite good. The chicken could’ve been a little more tender, but overall, it was delicious and satisfying.

I thought this place was just a five star, but I was too naive!!!
I couldn’t find any other Hawaiian restaurant that can compete with this small place all along the west coast, what the hell?

It was our first time at Keokis it was amazing!
We got an order to go, and we loved their macaroni salad, potato salad, and the meats were all so well seasoned and grilled! We did the teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, and wings!
The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions and gave us great
recommendations from the menu. Reminds me of Zippys on the islands!
The food was just so fresh they make the meats once you order and you can just taste the freshness! We had a Hawaiian Sun Luau Punch drink to compliment our meal. Next time will have to get a snow cone they looked so tempting! The picture that I'm including is just my husbands dish we were able to do 2 with double serving of macaroni and a small potato salad! So for us a meal for 2 was only $30.27 and we got to taste the three different kinds of meats plus a spam musubi! Glad to have a place like this so close to us on the main land!

If you’re in Monterey and want to find some bonafide local Hawaiian bbq. Keoki’s is THE place to get it in my opinion.

Being born and raised from Hawaii (Oahu specifically) it’s always nice to see local food places out on the mainland but more importantly having local food places that really embody and represent local food well. Keoki’s does that great! The atmosphere (is a bit small but in some ways that adds to the charm), the employee attitudes and interactions, and of course the taste and quality of their food! I had the combo plate with three choices and got the Teri beef, Kalua pig, and Hamburger steak. All the meats tasted phenomenal, and accompanied by the scoop of rice and Mac salad the whole experience was very nostalgic for me. Most local food places I go to never get the Mac salad right, and to me that’s the thing that really makes or breaks the authenticity of whether you’re truly representing Hawaiian bbq places. Keoki’s passes with flying colors and in some cases with their Teri beef I actually prefer the way they make it than how it’s made on the islands. All in all, anytime I visit Monterey, Keoki’s is the only place I’m going to for Hawaiian BBQ.
