The food was plentiful and delicious, but the interior of the restaurant was not well-maintained and felt deserted. It seems that there are many customers who make reservations and come to pick it up, so it seems to be quite popular.
The takeout sushi I just got was excellent. I just came back from Japan where I learned Japanese food is all about attention to detail even if the dishes seem simple and this sushi was better than a lot of sushi I had in japan. The fish, ginger, and other ingredients were so fresh and well prepared. Definitely worth the 21 dollars for 8 rolls of generous size. My only complaint is the can of coke was 2.50 which seems steep. We went here for my mom birthday. The food was decent and customer service was ok. We wanted to go to noodle bar because they're better but they were closed that day. So we settled here and I don't mind coming back the 2nd time here if we visit Monterey again.
