If you want a good authentic Hawaiian plate lunch this is not it. I’m born and raised on the big island, and looking for a good local plate lunch spot, and got some good feedback for this spot- I was really expecting better. I get it, if you’ve never been to any good spots in Hawaii then this seems good, but when I get lau lau and it’s made with spinach, still needs salt, and its lean pieces of pork? Bad. Kalua pork where they overdo the liquid smoke and that’s all you can taste? REALLY BAD. And the ahi poke was OLD. I’ve never had worse poke, and I’ve had Monterey’s Safeway (andronico’s) poke. It was terrible. Also my biggest thing- The Mac salad was sweet and watery, that’s literally the cheapest and easiest dish to make! I mean come on man. Try better.

This place is small but the food and the customer service were phenomenal. Great first impression with everything. If we do go back to monterey , you best believe we will be back to Keiki's. We would have gone again but they are closed on weekends. At least the weekend we were there.
Food was on point. I was told 20-25 minute wait. Ended up waiting closer to 45. People who got there after me got their food first. I guess they could have ordered online.

I've heard so many great things about this little place, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the 1 item teriyaki chicken lunch combo plate --I couldn't even finish it! The proportions were incredibly large. The lady up at the front was solo up there and she was killing it! A line didn't stress her out and she got everyone's orders out timely. I love how they have personal photos taken from Hawaii hanging up. Super cute place! Definitely coming back.

I was planning to drop by Jack in the box and happened to stumble upon this place! Debbie the cashier was absolutely lovely and made me feel a warm sense of community. They said they make the musibi upon ordering and it took less than 5mins. I got a total of three musubi, the rice was very generous and well cooked. It stayed warm after a whole shopping trip and the car ride back. I got full after eating just one! Really glad I spent my money at this local business instead of Jack in the box. Definitely plan to come back and let my friends know about here Thank you again Debbie!
