This is a restaurant owned by an elderly Japanese couple that are very friendly. The food however was unfortunately not very fresh. I ordered three chicken teriyaki bento box dinners and unfortunately and regrettably the chicken wasn't good and had an off flavor and taste. The tempura was decent and the sushi was ok. Although customer service was friendly the food here just isn't good. I won't be returning. I cannot afford to spend money just to purchase food that nobody wants to eat.

Disappointed with our meal based on the great reviews online. The rice on the sushi rolls was overcooked and we were surprised by how small the pieces were. Our meal was delivered, so maybe eating at the restaurant would be a better experience?

Amazingly delicious and healthy food. Do not miss the agedashi tofu or the ramen! Lovely ambience. Michiyo and Yuhi are wonderful. I am so thankful I found this fabulous restaurant.

My son got dinner for our family and sorry to say the food wasn't edible and was thrown into the rubbish bin. The chicken teriyaki was horrible and had an awful after taste that was almost nauseating. The tempura was ok but nothing great.Some of the vegetables weren't thoroughly cooked.Very disappointed.It's sad to describe such a horrible meal because the couple running this restaurant are actually very nice. Anyways I wouldn't recommend this restaurant under any circumstances to anyone wanting Japanese cuisine.

Excellent local Japanese restaurant which serves truly authentic Japanese cuisine. The tempura dishes are served with a crispy tempura batter mix not flour like a lot of places. The miso soup is a meal in itself. I've had their sushi and it's all very good served with fresh fish. Would highly recommend!

My son purchased several meals for all of us. Teriyaki beef, Teriyaki chicken and sushi rolls. The sushi looked deplorable as if a child assembled them. The minute I lifted it out of the box they fell apart. Also the tuna used didn't seem to be as fresh as it should be. My wife and son had the Teriyaki chicken and it was disgusting! The chicken tasted rancid and it was uneditable. It was obvious the chicken was old and shouldn't have been uses. They both tossed out their meals without eating any of the food. My beef Teriyaki was ok nothing special and I believe mine is 100% better. I thought the meat was a bit over cooked.It's a shame to write a review that's only 1 star but this Japanese food isn't good. My son and I definitely wouldn't ever recommend this restaurant and it's somewhat sad because the couple are nice. They just don't have good Japanese food.

We love Michi’s! We have been going to his restaurant for over 28 years (he started in Salinas). Our son grew up eating Michi’s sushi. He is currently in the Navy stationed in Japan and can’t wait to come home and eat at Michi’s! He told us he has eaten sushi at many restaurants in Japan and none of them compare to Michi’s Sushi! Especially Michi’s spicy tuna! It really is the best! We would recommend Michi’s to everyone! Thank you Michi and Mrs. Michi! We love you!

This a small Japanese restaurant run by the owners. It is GREAT!! The food is freshly prepared and tastes delicious. Also, reasonably priced. We have eaten there often and have never been disappointed!! Go now and enjoy a wonderful meal!!

My daughter picked this restaurant after her diving test based on the reviews. There were not many customers that evening but foods were slow to arrive and not well presented. We saw there was only one chef at the sushi bar. She grumbled foods were better & more flavorful at home :) This was likely one of these days.
