Tico’s quickly became my girlfriend and I’s favorite restaurant in the Marina/Monterey area. While visiting the area we ended up making it a mission to go nearly everyday. The food is delicious, from breakfast to lunch items it never disappoints. And the crème brûlée was incredible and we were heartbroken when on our last day in the area they were out! The staff here bring such a kind and wholesome atmosphere, the walls painted beautiful bright colors and flowers in glass vases on each table, the music played here was so good and just wrapped up the whole vibe so neatly. Thank you Ricardo and Sylvia for such excellent service and making us feel so welcomed!! As well as the cooks who I unfortunately didn’t get the name but wow you guys can cook! We will absolutely be returning here when we visit Monterey next!!!

Get ready for a flavor fiesta that'll have your taste buds doing the salsa at Tico's! Despite its modest size, this place packs a punch that'll leave you craving more. As I stepped in, I caught Tico himself in action, orchestrating culinary magic in the kitchen. The food was so divine that I just had to snag a pic with the maestro himself to commemorate the moment. From flavor to service, Tico's hits all the right notes with its charming mom-and-pop vibe. If you find yourself in town, do yourself a favor and pay Tico a visit--it's a taste sensation you won't want to miss! ‍

More than anything, my sister and I were so appreciative of their service. We came in at 3:10 by accident not aware of their after breakfast break from 3-5 to prep for dinner. They served us eagerly and ensured that our presence was encouraged! Not to mention the FOOD!!!! Literally... BEST CEASAR SALAD OF MY LIFE (perfect ration, chicken cooked to perfection, buttery croutons, a light but creamy sauce, all brilliant)!!!! The Creme brûlée was to DIE for!!! Pancakes were fluffy and light. Bacon was crispy but not burnt. All perfect.

Okay, it wasn't terribly bad but so much room for improvement! It's a small place, but that's okay. It appears there is some outside seating, although no one was using it. The front/entrance is a little confusing. Our order was taken quickly but took awhile to arrive. My order confused our server (who never smiled, btw). My husband said his toast was probably the worst he's ever had. Toast. You probably don't want to look at the back of house on your way to the restroom.
