The restaurant has amazing food ! The meat and other food they have is just top notch! Owen the owner of the restaurant is very friendly he made sure that we were ok with all the food we had. Amazing korean bbq spot in marina!
We live in San Francisco and were visiting Monterey when we searched for a good Korean restaurant and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, and we were so happy to see such a wide variety of Korean dishes on the menu.
The three of us really enjoyed the food, especially because there were many dishes that are not easy to find in the U.S. Everything was generous, flavorful, and tasted homemade, just like Korean food should.

New Korea Restaurant offers an authentic Korean dining experience with a friendly and helpful staff. The menu features delicious dishes such as sulungtang and kalbi, with generous portion sizes. Located in a cozy and secluded spot, the restaurant has a warm atmosphere, making it a great place for both lunch and dinner. Despite occasional long hours, the restaurant remains dedicated to serving customers with kindness and excellent food. The owners and the waitresses are all super friendly, and the food is delicious, with more authentic Korean options to choose from than many other places. The parking is limited, but customers have not had any issues. The galbi is extremely tasty and soft, perfectly cooked, and the side dishes are much better, especially the little Korean salad mix.
