First time here and the host was really helpful with suggestions and the food was really good! Had to make a second order to go lol
THE go to for KBBQ in the Monterey area! As a repeat customer, I can safely say the food is of high quality and customer service is stellar. Pricing and quantity is also fair in my opinion; for example, my family (party of three) got a meal for 2, paid just over $100, and still had leftovers.

Nakwon Korean BBQ House is the go to for KBBQ in the Monterey area. The food is high quality, tasty, and authentic. Meals like the Tofu box, dinner bim bap, ramen, chicken, pork belly, bulgogi, and tofu soup are all very good. The bulgogi is flavorful, tender, and served sizzling hot. Side dishes (banchan) are fresh and varied. The restaurant uses charcoal with the bbq and homemade mandu, served on parchment paper so it doesn’t get soggy. Customer service is stellar and the staff are so nice. The dining room is sparse, so the ambience is not the reason to visit. Pricing and quantity is fair—a meal for 2 paid just over $100 and still had leftovers. However, the prices can feel a bit out of place for the portions, as servings aren’t very large. If you like ramen, soups, or the self bbq style Korean, this restaurant is a neat spot. The neighborhood is lucky to have this restaurant.
