“This place is awesome! My family and I stopped here for dinner after a trip to Monterey and were greeted warmly by the hostess even though they were near closing. All of the food was delicious and the service was great! We will be coming back when we are in the area.“

The House Special with ribs and chicken was excellent—everything was rrally flavorful, tender, and cooked just right (You can even see the meats cooking on an upright, wood fire grill!!! The BBQ sauce wasn't quite as thick as I personally prefer, but it was still tasty and definitely not a deal breaker. The quality of the food more than made up for it. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommended!“

“This place is pretty different from most of the other restaurants on Alvarado for all the right reasons. First of all, the place is very small in a good way. It has a weirdly cozy atmosphere in the same way that a understairs room does. The menu is small, but all of it was good. The kalbi was the standout to me, but the spicy chicken and pork were also great. The service was excellent; it was just one lady running the front of house and it's apparent she wants all customers to enjoy their time there. The prices were the main drawback; our bill came out to around $120 for 3 of us.“

“Massive portions at a very reasonable price (even for California!). They give you more meat/proteins than they do rice, despite the affordable prices. Overall the flavor is good, and the meat is tender, but some things on the menu (such as the chicken katsu) fall behind compared to others. Either way I would absolutely recommend this place, especially if you’re just trying to get some affordable protein.“
