“After being transferred to Santa Cruz, I was on the lookout for an exceptional spot to savor some delicious BBQ ribs and tri-tip. For an entire year, I had passed by this establishment daily, which piqued my curiosity enough to try it out. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by an exceedingly cordial individual named Nick. He meticulously walked us through several menu options we were contemplating for our meal. Ultimately, we opted for the tri-tip and BBQ pork ribs.Nick's presentation and description of the offerings were impeccable. For our sides, we chose potato salad and beans, along with some toasted garlic bread. I selected a blonde IPA to accompany my meal, which proved to be a delightful beer choice. We settled into a window seat, enveloped by the tranquil ambiance of the place. Our visit was timed around 4 pm, which meant it wasn't overly crowded, but guests began trickling in shortly thereafter. Unbeknownst to me at the time was their Saturday night live blues band performance. While I'm uncertain if they perform during weekdays, Saturdays are definitively lively with music. The generous portions meant we couldn't finish our meal in one sitting. It was a lesson learned for future visits - to order less. Nonetheless, the food was scrumptious, leaving us with leftovers for the following day. We're already planning to make tri-tip sandwiches with them - Yum Yum!!!So, if you ever find yourself craving some top-notch BBQ fare, this is your go-to destination. The service is outstanding - Nick is phenomenal - and it seems Saturday nights are particularly vibrant. It's an ideal setting for a delightful evening filled with great food, excellent service, and a soothing atmosphere.“
“Great place usually I go during lunch time! Chicken Katsu is my favorite dish to order. They have online ordering so it makes getting your food done in a timely manner easy to do. Haven't ate inside too often although there is room to sit down and eat.“
“Affordable BBQ in the barbecue desert known as Santa (whassa BBQ?) Cruz. Pork ribs a bit undercooked? No prob, finish 'em low and slow at home. Fries a tad limp? Crisp 'em up in your air fryer. Hopin' for a little more kick in the sauce? Pick up a jar of Everett & Jones when you're in Oakland or mix some up yourself!! Cole's is my #1 BBQ go to locally. But I miss the old location in Aptos on the way to Nicene Marks. Used to hike like crazy to Maple Falls, then stuff my belly to bursting with greasy pork, fries, and garlic bread. Nothing better. Ah well.“
“The food was amazing, 10/10 and the service was amazing! Very kind staff! The live band playing really topped it all off, they play every Thursday night and they were great! This is a great spot to grab a quick dinner with the family if you're in the area!“
“New favorite! Ate here w/ 4 people and every meal and appetizers were all AMAZING! Pulled pork w/ ginger BBQ sauce was soooo good! Sweet potato fritters app was to die for. Even the beer was great. Very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere.“
“I stopped here with a friend the other day to grab a sandwich. The interior was a little fall so we were in about assigned seating inside. But were able to find a spot outside. The sandwiches were super good. I think I got the number one on sourdough. I would highly recommend grabbing a sandwich here.“
“You’ve got two bowls to grab whatever you like in any quantity- proteins, veggies, and sauces as long as you can fill the bowl. Just place your ingredients on the counter and the chef will cook them for you. Ice cream, soup, white rice, chips are available at self-service bar. friendly staff. The counter area is neat and clean, and the spacious room has plenty of seats. Located in the main road in Santa Cruz, this is a great choice if you want to assemble your own meal. Plus you can decide your own saltiness and spices or try their sauce recipes as per your taste.“
