“Rookie mistake making my first trip here right as Sunday service was getting out! This place is right on Church property, in case I am the only out of towner that didn't think to look at the satellite view of the place prior to walking here. The croissant was good and the coffee was tasty! But let it be known you can't bring your leashed dogs inside in order to actually order coffee. There's also not a really good spot to tie them up if you're traveling solo with your dog. The outside amenities for the dogs are decent, however.“

“My friend and I had breakfast at Evarits’s Comal this morning and it was FABULOUS! My veggie eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked, with one of the best hollandaise sauces I’ve ever tasted. “It turns out this restaurant is at the site of the sushi restaurant formerly located here called “Buzz”, and since Buzz is listed as a restaurant that’s participating in the 30 day “Vegan Chef Challenge Of Santa Cruz County”. I came here to try the two rolls listed they have listed on line. Instead found that a Japanese Peruvian couple began their own restaurant, Oyuki here, and they have created a number of plant-based roles showcasing deliciousness from both culinary cultures! I had “Vegan Pot Stickers” (you can get them boiled or fried and I tried fried) , “The Warrior Special” roll , and the Peruvian drink made of sweet purple corn, apple, pear and pineapple called “Chicha Morada”. All delicious! I would very happily take a date here—Not necessarily a ‘fancy dress-up’ date, but still a very nice date!  Updated from previous review on 2026-04-25“

“I don’t understand how an amazing coffee shop can, at there discretion, close there coffee shop at any time they want? Why would u treat loyal customers this way. Sometimes posted in Instagram, sometimes not. So inconsiderate of daily customers. Very disappointing to walk all the way there, excited for my greeting from the staff and my great latte, only to find a note on the door, closed at 11:30? How can u feel good about people showing up and not open and it isn’t even close to 3:00? Confusing to me how everything else but this one issue can be perfect?“
