“Soul Salad is the best! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff and good portions every time I go. If you haven't been there yet give it a try. My go to is the Santorini but my daughter switches it around and has always been happy with her order. If you haven't tried it yet you should give it a try. You will not be disappointed!“
“The service was superb. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food came quickly and everything was delicious. The Hideout Burger my husband ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. The extra side salad we ordered with it was fresh and large enough for my husband to share plenty with me. The server brought me a plate for sharing without me even asking. I ordered the swordfish special. The fish was buttery and flavorful. The risotto was equally delicious. And the veggies that came with it were fresh and the presentation was lovely. Portions were very large. We observed the staff quickly cleaning tables and sweeping up underneath the tables. Everything looked in order at all times. The outdoor seating was nicely spaced and the heaters made the outdoor seating very comfortable. We enjoyed everything about our experience. We will return.“
“Manuel's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Santa Cruz area. The food is so good that I crave it! Considering how there is always a line of customers out the door (even on a Monday) and the dining area is always packed, Manuel's servers and chefs are quick! And get this: the service is always attentive, friendly, and fast! I've eaten here twice, and loved it both times. I would come here again and again. Only heads up is that the prices are a little steep for my blood. For my daughter and I, we ordered 2 meals: a combo plate and the Monday special that comes with salad and dessert. The portions were huge, and everything was tasty. We also enjoyed 2 baskets of complimentary chips and salsa. We didn't order anything else, including drinks, and the bill was $60+tip. As long as you're ok with the price tag, Manuel's is the place to go for good Mexican food with an upbeat, family-friendly atmosphere.“
“The food was amazing, 10/10 and the service was amazing! Very kind staff! The live band playing really topped it all off, they play every Thursday night and they were great! This is a great spot to grab a quick dinner with the family if you're in the area!“
“We started to come for coffee and ended upHaving the wonderful tasty homemade soups they are offering. Every single choice on the menu is healthy and tasty. Coffee is very good also. What a wonderful hidden gem coffee shop with a great atmosphere and service. Definitely must visit.“
“I’m not a coffee drinker but have to say their bagel with egg is the best. The egg is light and fluffy and you can add several options. It’s always cooked to order and hot. This place has become my go-to breakfast place. The oatmeal is also pretty good.“
“I recently tried Pixie and enjoyed my sandwich very much! They offer gluten-free bread and I found that half of my sandwich was quite filling. They have tons of sides and drink options to accompany your meal. The staff was super kind and on it. Can't wait to go back.“
“Lovely spot to pop in w the pupper. Great place to get sunshine and good vibes. Coffee is nice. I ordered an almond croissant. I paid almost 12$ for two of them and I wouldn’t order it again. Although almond croissants are my favorite I guess I’m spoiled. It wasn’t very fresh tasting. Had a tasty cappuccino though and staff was lovely and I like the large industrial space w pops of color and plants.Parking: Busy full parking but convenient if there’s space available. I’m here at noon on a Tuesday and it’s full.“
“What a lovely deli! The sandwiches were great! We hada real variety: bacon for 1, pastrami for another, vegetarian caprese for a third, and I had Italian meatball. A variety of pasta salads, too! The staff kindly set up the outdoor seating for us, cleaning the tables and drying chairs-- and Mother Nature obliged with some warm March sunshine! Lovely place to enjoy with friends! ❤“
“What a find!!!! We were looking for a good cup of joe on our travels up North and found the perfect place. Easy parking, lovely staff and the barista made my friend's vanilla cold brew, cold cream "blah blah blah" PERFECTLY! The choices of pastries was amazing.... we both enjoyed the sunny morning outside under the tree and a very friendly patron drove up and said how relaxed we looked! We agreed whole heartedly with her assessment.... and asked her to take our picture. She did! Love the decor with the Marilyn Monroe memorabilia everywhere and the ambiance is just how one would like it in the morning - no one yelling out your drink order - just calm and lovely. Thanks for the brew and the great service!“
“We went here the other evening right before they closed. It was pouring rain. However, there was no one in the shop. We love the Penny ice creamery. The ice cream was always good. There was a younger, very tall gentleman working he was very nice and we of course will always go back.“
“A local gem in Aptos! If you live here, you already know. If you're from out of town, check out their web menu and head over. Just know that typical peak days/times, it might be hard to get a parking spot but they have overflow parking at Cabrillo. Online pre-orders can help speed things up. There's also a cute gift shop within the bakery cafe. Great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or coffee hangout. The Farm is famous for their fruit tarts (amazing crust).“
“When my family comes in from out of town, they almost always choose Palapas. Why? They accommodate large parties with a smile, the food is always good and hot, and I never feel rushed. Everyone tries different things, but I can't get past the combo enchilada platter. There's also a great view from almost every table.“
“Couldn't reserve on Valentine's day, so we ate there on the 15th. The Val-day menu was still available, so we shared the last black truffle pizza, w. a cheese base flecked with small bits of truffle. Then the server shredded truffle slices over the top--OMG--$65 and worth every penny! (Regular pizzas range from $17 to $26.) For starters, we split an arugula salad and a vegetable side (brown butter braised cabbage--even if you hate cabbage, you'll love this). For dessert, we shared the affogato. The chocolate was molded and formed against the side and bottom of the cup, then they poured espresso into the cup. Superb. I said to my husband, "This tastes like Valrhona." You know you have an outstanding server when you ask which brand of chocolate was used. Zach answered, "Valrhona." I use this superb variety for every chocolate dessert I make.“
“Great place near the beach for pizza....whole or by the slice, quiche whole or by the slice as well as pie and bagels. Coffee drinks as well that was good. Limited varieties of each item but very good flavor and at a modest price. Example....pizza slice 6.00, quiche with a slice of bread 9.00.Parking: Across from the beach so the lot is sometimes full. More parking down the street.“
“The burgers are absolutely fantastic. You can also grab chicken and a vegan sandwich if that is what you desire! Betty burgers are made with 100% fresh, all natural beef. NO antibiotics, NO hormones in her beef ever! All burgers are dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and lube. The veggies are ripe and crisp depending on what you get. Betty's Lubes are all mayonnaise based and pretty yummy! I have tried 3 different sandwiches and the chicken and the hot dog, all of which were outstanding. Two thumbs up for Betty's burgers for me, oh and they have great milk shakes as well!“
“Family & I are doing a southern Cali to Northern Cali road trip and googled breakfast and lunch and this popped up. So happy we came here, the breakfast was great! The dinner itself is small but cute and cozy! The staff were very welcoming and nice! I would definitely come back here if I'm ever in this area again! :)“
“Food is absolutely phenomenal here! We got the hummus with flatbread, beef and lamb gyros, and the pepperoni pizza. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The flatbread and pizza they cook in a brick oven right in the middle of the kitchen for everyone to see. Doesn't get better than that! The pizza sauce was also very herbaceous and flavorful. Gyros meat just melted in your mouth it was so tender and moist. 10/10!“
“Akira ended up being a great local sushi place, highly recommended. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was great, and the location is nice. HIGHLY recommend the spicy edamame appetizer, it's fantastic. Will definitely come back!Parking: Plenty of spaces within the shopping center Akira is located in, easy peasy!“
“Best hamburger in town. Fairly pricing menu but you can get a hamburger with fries for about $20 and if you want it with sweet potato fries I think the upcharge was four or five dollars. They have great beer. The atmosphere is wonderful. Our waite person was “
“Where do I even start. I've been coming here most of my adult life and have never had a bad experience, food is constantly great, would recommend for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fries cooked to perfection every time. Breakfast sandwich that I can't get enough of, overall a great experience. I know it's a drive in burger joint, but it always delivers.“
“I had a strawberry cheesecake on a waffle cone. And it was fabulous. My son had a chocolate brownie Sunday with chocolate ice cream. And I taste that 1 as well, and it was pretty good, too. My husband had toasted almond. And he said it was an amazing combination.“
