“We recently visited Bai Tong Thai Restaurant in Saratoga and had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff were warm, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

We ordered the Panang Curry with Brown Rice, and both were prepared very well. The curry had a rich, creamy texture with a nice balance of sweetness, spice, and authentic Thai flavors. The vegetables were fresh, and the overall dish was satisfying and comforting. The brown rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and paired beautifully with the flavorful curry.

While we genuinely enjoyed the meal, we’ve had slightly better Panang Curry at a few Thai restaurants in Cupertino, where the flavors were a bit more bold and complex. That said, Bai Tong still serves a delicious and authentic version that’s well worth trying, especially if you’re in the Saratoga area.

Overall, the combination of good food, friendly service, and a pleasant ambiance made for a very enjoyable experience. If you’re looking for quality Thai food in Saratoga, Bai Tong is definitely worth a visit. We’d happily return to explore more of their menu and would recommend it to anyone craving comforting, authentic Thai cuisine.“

“We had banh xeo tacos, pho banh mi dip, grilled port bahn mi.

Tacos was fantastic. Sweet, savory with right mix of crunch veges you would expect from normal bahn xeo. Essentially very very crispy banh xeo shaped like a big taco.

Dip was also great. Such a good flavor combo. Pho as a dip was just brilliant, and the green sauce added the right amount of spicy and fresh herbs, balancing out the richness of the broth.

Both of those are quite messy naturally, so I wish they gave wet towels.

All in all, very happy with the unique twists and good big flavors. Kudos to the chef.“

“Probably one of the best sandwich places in the area for the money and probably my new go-to sandwich place. The prices is lower than most of the other chain places around.

The only option for bread is sourdough and the available toppings are limited which may be a turnoff for some. However the price, quality of ingredients, clean seating area and service more than make up for it.

I ordered the Italian with spicy mustard. Good taste and blend of flavors without anything over powering. I love the sandwich assembly line setup they have, food gets made quickly.“

“This is not our first meal at Hero Ranch, so a few flaws were noticeable. The food was mostly excellent, as we expect, but I was disappointed that the pappardelle seemed to be cooked in insufficient water and/or not stirred properly. The pasta, which is a bit too thick to begin with in my opinion, was stuck together in clumps. Not all of it, but enough of these hard masses to make navigating the dish a bit difficult. The ragu was delicious as always. Our other dishes, crab cakes, taco trio and berry cobbler were of the standard I expect. After all, this space is the hallowed ground where David Kinch got his start at Sent Sovi. I also think a bit more training of the waitstaff would be in order. Our server was very pleasant and attentive enough, but failed to cover the wine bottle with a napkin in the ice bucket, so she spilled quite a bit of water over our settings when pouring. I think that the servers have been chosen well, with fine personalities, but perhaps could use a bit of training if they are not highly experienced. Speaking of wine, I must mention one of the strongest plusses of this establishment. The wine list is not extensive, but it is well chosen and a tremendous value. Premium wines are priced with minimal markup, which is very appreciated by this diner. We had a bottle of Dom Perignon for less than it would cost at even a discount liquor chain. Most restaurants make large profits from wine sales, so the decision of Hero Ranch to price wines at store prices is a big deal.“

It is not just the great history of the estate which was formerly owned by Alfred Hitchcock, but the delicious and high quality wines that you can sample in this amazing setting. We spend a whole afternoon trying the different wines and I have to say it is rarely the case that I am as pleased with the sampling as I was at Armitage. Next to this, the vineyard offers amazing views. Tucked away in the redwood trees you can see for miles while overlooking the grapes from the top of the estate. When the sun sets in the afternoon, it makes for an amazing play of light and shadows. We truly loved visiting this place and will definitely come back. It is well worth a trip. While email correspondence was sometimes slow, everything was in order when we got there on the day and the team at Hapa's were all really kind, accommodating, and fun! I was able to rent out the inside portion of the brewery, decorate, and choose my own music. The brews are always great, and the food was good. Everything went smoothly on the day of, and I still get compliments from friends and family on how it was a great place for our party. “Stopped for a tasting in the tasting room. It was easy to book a reservation online.
Upon arriving, We were greeted by name by Diane. She was very welcoming and got us started on the tasting. We did one of each of the tastings to try the variety. There were good wines on both selections.
Having been to Napa/Sonoma I'm familiar with the wine club pitch. It did come a bit early and listened to a lot of 'upsells' to others that had stopped in to get their wine club order.
As someone in sales/commercial roles, I can appreciate the hustle and recognize that Diane is very good at her role.
That said, we ordered a bottle to enjoy on the patio and took some with us for the wine suitcase to bring home.
The stone buildings are pretty remarkable and the patio provides a lot of room to enjoy the venue.“
