Large portions at a fair price and wait staff that almost read my mind on what I was thinking about ordering. And there's a pool table upstairs. What more could you ask for in a BBQ joint?“

“Armitage wines offers a truly outstanding experience. It is not just the great history of the estate which was formerly owned by Alfred Hitchcock, but the delicious and high quality wines that you can sample in this amazing setting. The current owners are very welcoming and attentive and especially dedicated to creating a great tasting experience for their guests. We spend a whole afternoon trying the different wines and I have to say it is rarely the case that I am as pleased with the sampling as I was at Armitage. Next to this, the vineyard offers amazing views. Tucked away in the redwood trees you can see for miles while overlooking the grapes from the top of the estate. When the sun sets in the afternoon, it makes for an amazing play of light and shadows. We truly loved visiting this place and will definitely come back. It is well worth a trip. “Fried rice with beef and thai tea were amazing. Also had the red curry and spicy basil chicken with flat noodles which were both pretty okay. Daughter ordered Amok (catfish cooked in a banana leaf) and said it was not that good. Staff very kind and helpful and food came out very fast.“

“So I'm traveling from out of town and had 2 seniors (one of whom is half deaf), a toddler, and a 6 month old. It was chaos. Shoutout to Connor, who engaged my dad in conversation while I was getting the toddler squared away, and who gave us an excellent recommendation for some local scenery to visit whilst in town. (Shark beach down highway 1 if anyone is interested in some stunning scenery).

The tables were in need of a wipe but I carry baby wipes with me everywhere anyway and my toddler has yet to meet a messy situation he cant make messier.

“The food was very good. My 8 and 14 year old ate until they had their fill. They serve family style so they are big portions for a family of 4-6 to share. We got a rice dish, noodle dish and 2 chicken with vegetables dishes but different flavors. We had to take some home.

Parking: It is behind the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: The waiter is friendly and patient. The cook is also friendly, especially when my son greeted her. Serve family style dishes.“

“We were on our way to Santa Cruz and decided to stop for a late lunch and a beer. We hadn't been there before, so it was nice to try a new place. The wait staff were friendly and had helpful suggestions. I had the Drewsky burger with onion rings and their Holy Ghost lager. They were all delicious - the HG complimented the burger perfectly. This is such a chill, relaxing place. I highly recommend it!“
