“Stopped into Companion Bakeshop Aptos and had a much-needed experience. The staff were friendly, and the barista who made my flat white did an amazing job — absolutely nailed the espresso pull. The coffee had rich notes of chocolate (my favorite), and the milk froth was smooth, silky, and perfectly balanced.
The pastries looked incredible — and it’s clear why this place is known for them. I wasn’t in the mood for one this time, but I’ll definitely be back to try them out. The space is quaint and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and I loved being able to watch the pastries being made in the back corner of the shop.
If I’m ever in Aptos again, this will be my go-to spot for a morning flat white.“

“This is my favorite booth at SAP when I go to Sharks games. You can see the arepas being grilled fresh and the fillings are so flavorful. The owners are very welcoming. I’m looking forward to the opening of their San Jose location since I haven’t been able to make it to Santa Cruz.“

“Love the Bagelry. Locals will tell you they either love it or hate it. The bagels here are definitely not 'traditional' in the NY sense, but I think that's part of the attraction. The Bagelry's bagels are unique; small and dense but chewy and flavorful; giving them the character that has helped make the Bagelry a Santa Cruz institution for decades“

“I found Rebecca's muffins at Campbell farmers market. They are so delicious and you can't really tell whether they are sugar free, soy free, gluten free and vegan. I have some health problem so I have to be on an anti inflammatory diet and I just look forward to every Sunday where I can go buy her muffins. God bless her!“

“Visiting SC from Michigan and came across Suda. Glad we did. Looked like it had a good vibe from the outside so we went in and sat at the bar where we had drinks. What fun! The bartender, Max, was slammed but never stopped smiling. We had fun watching him and talking with him. He knows his drinks! So much fun we came back for dinner another night. Max came over to our table to welcome us back! The drinks and food were really good! We’ll definitely be back next visit to SC. Hopefully, Max, will be there too!“

“I was in town with my daughter for college visits and came across this restaurant in Santa Cruz via google maps. We went on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately after ordering, and the food arrived very quickly. We ordered vegan versions of a couple of their menu items and they were VERY good. Lots of flavor, not heavy sitting. We liked it so much we went back the following morning for breakfast before we took off to another state for another college visit. There were still more vegan items I would have liked to try on their menu. Definitely recommend this quaint little restaurant. Vegan friendly, but also good choices for omnis too.“

“Visiting Capitola and the Monterey bay Area and went to this spot for dinner. The sandwiches were amazing! The restaurant is clean and our sandwiches and soup arrived sooo fast. The ingredients they use are fresh and top notch…and our cupcakes were soooo good!!! We plan on coming back to try other flavors of sandwiches.“
