“We generally like the sushi here because we get basic quick rolls that don’t require much(like us). But almost every time I get these vegetarian yam rolls, the yam comes out raw and it’s very difficult to eat because I don’t want to eat raw sweet potato/yam. And since I am a vegetarian, I like to have a little bit more protein, But I can’t really have that if I can’t eat the yam. Other than that, my husband loves his rolls that he gets, like the Pebble Beach.“

I have tried a couple of dishes here before (e.g. schnitzels, fondues, goulash soup, sand dabs, geschnetzeltes) and they are all excellent. I came today at odd hour (after 2pm) so I took a picture with no crowd.

I would've preferred we were seated at a table first (instead of the bar) or asked to wait for table. We ended up being seated at the bar and then offered a table 10 minutes after and had to move all of our drinks and food. Other than that, amazing experience and we will definitely return when we visit Carmel again.“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

He was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. It's rare to receive service that's both professional and personable. “We had such a great dinner at Bistro Moulin! The restaurant is quaint with an inviting but relaxed vibe, and the service felt intentional and personal. The food was delicious! We had a reservation and were seated immediately. We ordered the caesar salad, spinach gnocchi, fish of the day and filet mignon. Everything was fresh, reasonable portion sizes, and super flavorful. The fish was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while! The filet was cooked perfectly and the peppercorn sauce on top was so good. For dessert we had the mousse special and it was insane. Wine selection was also on point! The owner was our server and he was so nice and attentive. We’re just visiting, but we’d definitely return! Highly recommend for a great meal while in Monterey!“

“5/17-26: Today I had lunch at teriyaki madness. I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki bowl which came with white rice, mixed vegetables, and salmon which I made a Combo and ordered Edamame and a Large Fountain Soda all for $19.42😋. After receiving my order I put additional Teriyaki Sauce over all my food and used Siracha sauce and Kikoman Lite soysauce for a great tasting bowl. Thr Edamame comes in a little box full of flavor. The Edamame is lite salted and definitely give you plenty of them. Definitely great place for your protein and to get your Madness on!😋👍🤑“

“We found this place by accident while visiting the local farmers' market and started craving Chinese food.

I knew it was going to be good Chinese when I saw the kid working behind the counter. We were pleasantly surprised by the experience, as my wife and I have not had great Chinese food in a long time.

We highly recommend the orange chicken, as they use high-quality white meat rather than the fatty, greasy slop many other Chinese restaurants seem to use.
