“Lovely bakery near the historic of Monterey, Parker-Lusseau is savored by many visitors and locals alike.

It is always busy and has limited space inside and only outdoor seating so I seldom make it in but one of my coffee club members loves it so when the boys were elsewhere early in the morning I pooped in for a cappuccino.

Friendly and efficient, the team was working hard to get thing into the cases and serve the line already there.

They were great to greatw, which previously had not been my experience, and set my expectations, and nicely directed me to where I could wait for the drink where I chatted with a visitor.

The pasteries and cakes are known to be amoung the best in the local area.

They serve Acme and my cappuccino came with a beautiful foam.

Worth a visit if you've never been.“

The coffee and chai tea are excellent. Homemade jams are available to buy. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. It's a meeting point for the local community. If I lived here permanently, I would come here for breakfast every day.“

“Stopped in for lunch after wine tasting next door and we were not disappointed. The food is amazing and the service was fast and pleasant. I would've preferred we were seated at a table first (instead of the bar) or asked to wait for table. We ended up being seated at the bar and then offered a table 10 minutes after and had to move all of our drinks and food. Other than that, amazing experience and we will definitely return when we visit Carmel again.“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

The presentation is absolutely beautiful — every dish is decorated with so much care, and all the little details make the food feel even more special and delicious.

The courtyard is also cozy and has such a unique atmosphere — it honestly feels like you’ve stepped somewhere far away from the city for a while. We truly loved this place and left impressed. Definitely worth visiting.“

We have more or less given up on dining out regularly as the expense doesn’t match the amount of times we are let down by mediocre food and/or service. Absolutely not the case here. The food, service and ambiance were exceptional. I had the best duck confit I’ve had in a long time. All of us were wowed by our selections. I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki bowl which came with white rice, mixed vegetables, and salmon which I made a Combo and ordered Edamame and a Large Fountain Soda all for $19.42😋. After receiving my order I put additional Teriyaki Sauce over all my food and used Siracha sauce and Kikoman Lite soysauce for a great tasting bowl. Thr Edamame comes in a little box full of flavor. The Edamame is lite salted and definitely give you plenty of them. Definitely great place for your protein and to get your Madness on!😋👍🤑“

“So much choice here, and I love that a full third of the menu is vegetarian or vegan, it makes picking something genuinely fun. The sandwich options are absolutely delicious. I had the ‘Going Home for Thanksgiving’ and it was so tasty, packed with flavour and really satisfying. My husband went for the 'Go Sharks', and we both had ours on sourdough, which was perfect.

The dirty sauce is incredible, one of those things you instantly want more of. And the apple and caramel lollies at the end were such a lovely touch.

“Highly recommend this place. We started out with the Tapas (calamari and the burrata) which was so good! Then we had the paella. It takes 30min to prepare which they told us about and it was disclosed on the menu too which I appreciated. This paella was literally the best paella I ever had EVER. ! Absolutely delicious!!!!! Shareable too! I had the Spanish Margarita for my cocktail and that was delicious too. Left completely stuffed. Definitely worth it.“

“My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday, and it was a lovely experience.

The cheesy garlic bread was delicious! We got the lamb pappardelle and sausage pesto gnocchi. The pappardelle was nice and hearty, and the gnocchi was rich and filling. Everything tasted nice and fresh.

They also had live jazz playing, and the waiter surprised me by having the band play happy birthday! The waiter also surprised me with a cake that could easy feed 3 people. Yum! We definitely left super stuffed and satisfied.
