There's nothing I love more than a good old-fashioned salt of the Earth dive bar. The bartenders here are super friendly and the people hanging out offer the same vibe. They have an amazing outdoor patio, a pool table, and their front bar is perfect for a quick drink and a chat about the days activities. My wife and I stayed here for about two+ hours and just soaked in the local conversations. Drinks here will set you back about $5 each, which is a steal in today's rough economy....read full review

Drove down from SF and wandered into the bar to have a couple of drinks while waiting for friends to arrive from out of town. Super friendly staff and customers. Drinks were very well priced and the music was great. Was very happy and look forward to dropping by the next time I pass through Santa Cruz.
