Absolutely loved it here. We were just having a look around and got a very lovely complimentary wine tasting and some very useful information about the town and Yosemite. Thanks so much to the lovely lady for making our day.

Tonight we paired our pasta dinner with a 2011 Cabernet. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Very smooth with deep flavor. Thanks for a lovely wine.

They have phenomenal red wines and a delicious rose for summer! A must see.

My wife and I stopped in after our trip to Yosemite. We were greeted by Kris the owner who let us try the expansive offerings that Casto Oaks has. From the Cab to the Syrah everything was really pleasing. Kris was so wonderful offering plenty of stories of how they make their wine, and other local food options to try out when we are in town.I would highly recommend stopping by while driving through for visiting Mariposa. Looking forward to returning in the near future. Grabbed a bottle of the Flagship Cabernet that is aging in our basement (aka the wine cellar).Cheers!

We rented an Airbnb near by/wanted to explore the area and stumbled upon Casto Oaks. Such a cute little spot!

We sent an email to Casto Oaks at 10am and received a phone call from Kris within 10 minutes! She mentioned the downtown tasting room was closed due to Covid but would love to have us at their vineyard approximately 9 miles north of downtown. We loved the hospitality from Kris and the beautiful location with such a great history behind it. An outdoor open patio deck and beautifully shaded trees made our experience memorable. The wine was superb, we'll definitely be back for more and to stay in their cozy Airbnb on the property.

Had an amazing time! We called to inquire about outdoor tasting and Kris invited us to their beautiful vineyard. The wine tasting took place on a beautiful little wood deck in the middle of the vineyard. There definitely was proper 6ft distance in place. The wine was so good. Kris even told us about their beautiful airbnb rental property on the vineyard, we are definitely stay there next time. She also showed us how they bottle the wine. Was an excellent experience!

We had a fantastic time at Casto Oaks winery! Their downtown tasting room was not available due to COVID. We were staying at a nearby vacation rental and decided to email them about tasting outdoors at their winery. I along with my husband and son arranged to meet them on a Friday morning. They are right on Highway 49. We had an absolutely lovely time tasting their wines sitting outside under the shade of many lovely oak trees. We saw a flock of turkeys on the property as we took a little tour of the vineyard! My favorite was the Man's Best Blend. What a cool name! We bought a case filled with 2014 Man's Best Blend, 2015 Zin and 2016 Syrah. They are delicious and well-priced. We also enrolled in their club membership. We also found that they have a lovely cottage that they rent. We are delighted to have found them!

A necessary stop if your on your way to Yosemite, located in the middle of historic Mariposa. Meet the friendly staff, learn about the vino and experience the Mariposa community. Awesome Cabernet!

Stopped here for a bottle of wine. Friendly lady greeted me and introduced me to the highlight of my day: her adorable dog Goldie! I gave Goldie a lot Of well deserved petting! The shop is nice with a variety of there wines, with gift items available as well. Stop in and see Goldie and enjoy what the shop has to offer.

The area from Highways 5 and 99 up to Mariposa and the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains is not really known for wine production, and so this is your chance to try wines of the area, although they are only open a few hours a day, four days a week.

WOW!!! The chardonnay is to die for...the port: a sweet, balanced dessert wine with smooth, robust flavor...so good...I recommend this wine if you want to know what a real wine made in small batches for the finest wine...the owner was there when we visited...very cordial people with a modest personality...we'll be back...I might even dress up next time...

Jason led us through a very enjoyable and social tasting. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the wine and conversation. Great local winery and a must stop if you're staying in the Mariposa area.
