What an unexpected surprise to see a ramen shop outside of Yosemite! The ramen was great! The broth has so much umami ;)

I stopped by at this place from Yosemite after a hard hike with my bf. I am so happy we did. This place is so quaint but their ramen is hand made and delicious. I had the shoyu ramen. The chashu was so tender, and the broth was so delicious. I will def be back if I'm in the area. Please give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.Oh my goodness I had to edit the review. We got mochi: black sesame and carrot cake. When I tell you the black sesame was yummy but the carrot cake was delicious!!!! There's a cream cheese velvety end on the carrot cake mochi that is so much like the cake. How in the hell did they do this. I'm so amazed!!!!! If u love carrot cake, try it! Wowza

The service was okay, other than the fact that I had to wait 40+ minutes for a bowl of ramen. Better ramen places in Japan can serve their bowls in a fifth of that time, and bear in mind those ramen chefs also handle the payments and clean-up.I had the miso ramen. Absolutely zero flavour. There was a faint hint of ginger (sure, not a problem) but it barely works if there's no miso umami to support it. The broth lacks "strength" -- the instant miso packets you get at convenience stores offer more miso flavour than this. The noodles are touted as being fresh, and I've no comments about that. But you would usually get an option to pick how well you'd like your noodles done. No such option here, you only get hard, buckwheat-esque noodles that are really reminiscent of yellow noodles for those familiar. Not a great pairing for the miso broth. I've definitely had better, springier ramen noodles for much less.Perhaps the final nail in the coffin was the bout of food poisoning I experienced after eating here. I don't claim this to be the ramen's fault, but eating at this substandard place definitely made my stomach feel horrible. The weird pairing of gingery, dilute miso with some alkaline, ramen noodles was not the best. If you're wondering: no, vomitting right before hiking up Yosemite is not a good idea! This store single-handedly made me swear off all Asian food in America.

The service is so poor... for a Ramen to be served after 40 minutes of waiting is tooo long. If you know Ramen... this is not a Ramen you can say good...

Super tasty, maybe a bit on the salty side. They accommodated our large group just fine.

We went for family lunch and everyone left full and happy. We each tried a different ramen and all the flavors are great. I was very happy with the size of the servings. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. Bathrooms are also clean and well maintained.

Pretty great little ramen shop. My broth wasn't very salty, My daughter who ordered the same thing had more flavor to hers. Not a huge deal but noticeable. The spicy ramen was the star of the show. Very good flavors. Mochi was also a great little treat at the end.

I went to this restaurant the other night for the first time. I ordered the priciest soup which was around $15 give or take. I when I got the bowl of soup, I couldn't believe it. It was such a small portion. I asked the waiter if this was the actual size to which the waiter replied yes. I asked for hot chili oil and had to pay $2 for a small approx 2 tbsp amount. I left this restaurant hungry. I have been to other ramen restaurants and I guess I am spoiled because usually they give a very filling amount. This restaurant should be ashamed for giving child size portions to grown adults for the prices they ask...I also have a friend that recently went to this establishment. She said she went with 3 other friends, spent over $100.00 and all left hungry. She said they were never going back. I have to agree. I don't like eating and being disappointed at the same time. Up your game restaurant! You may save a couple of dollars using such extreme portion control, but your loss of returning customers will be more costly in the end.

Absolutely delicious meal and great service. Had Edamame, Shoyu and Shomi ramen, and Mochi. We are local and will definitely come back when we crave ramen (which is always)

Indeed a little shop for good ramen. Went here last two weeks with my husband and we both had a good meal. I had vegetarian ramen while my husband had spicy miso ramen. The broth was so tasty and the noodles were fresh. I tasted my husband's ramen and it has a good kick! Such amazing flavor! I wanted to have that when we go back

Never got our food. We waited 40 minutes and saw 2 other tables still waiting for their ramen who got there before us, they had been there over an hour. When we asked to leave we were told the food hadn't even been started on yet. It looked like one of the chefs was eating his dinner during peak dinner time at 7pm. So maybe that's why it was so slow? There was a table of asian guys next to us and the waiter was extremely impatient and rude to them while they were waiting for their table to get cleaned in like 5 rounds of cleaning? And when we left the waiter said to us "Good luck finding food in 20 min". But we did elsewhere.

Simply fantastic! The shop-made noodles and broth were perfect. I asked for very spicy - and it was! The marinated egg was the icing on top! They have a good selection of Japanese beer as well as Sierra area wines. I'll be stopping by again on my next Yosemite trip. I don't usually take pictures of meals, so here's my partially consumed bowl.Parking: There are public parking lots on either side of the main drag through town.

Best ramen in the Sierra. I have had better Ramen in other places in California. But for the remote location, this will hit the spot. Get the spicy option, it added more flavor.
