Very genuinely friendly staff here. fresh oysters (just daily didn't have any other option when we went) really liked the grilled oysters and prawns. the menu isn't extensive like the ones in SF ferry bldg or Napa (oxbow) and it's pricey so we left a little hungry even after ordering bread too. i don't know if there's much for little kids to eat except for charcuterie board maybe? i also felt like the glass of wine we ordered seemed a lot less pour compared to other tables but it wasn't in a wine glass so it's hard to tell. parking isn't the easiest but we went relatively early just before noon on a nice sunny sunday, so overall, it's a nice drive to get here so all worked out at the end.

The freshest oysters in NorCal! A must go to staple in California! Beautiful drive and local nearby sister restaurant.

The food was amazing, but the service was poor. The staff was rude and they were annoyed they had to work. While we will not be back the food was great.

Last time we went here they didn't let us sit down because apparently they had a busted water pipe which I don't really believe it would stop them from seating us...but it did..and yet, they were seating other people.

Unbelievable time... If ever out in Marshall, California or visiting Tomales Bay hog Island oyster Farm is worth checking out. A group of us made reservations for the farm tour and chose the whole hog experience as the tour for the day. The whole hog experience is a three hour tour, focusing on oyster farming, tasting, and a Masterclass of shucking oysters. We were guided by our instructor named Marlon, who was super knowledgeable about oyster farming, the surrounding areas and the history of the land, which made the tour absolutely remarkable. Marlon showed us the different types of local oysters, showed us how to shuck them and then treated us to a deep dive of Oyster tasting. What a fun time!!!!! I haven't had this much fun in a long time and if you're ever in the Marshall/Tomales Bay area, it is worth stopping by and taking a three hour tour.

We had the best time a couple weeks ago dining here. Buying by the dozen is such a treat for these tasty quality oysters! Can't shuck quick enough lol

We have been coming here for years & raved about this spot to everyone we knew. Sadly, I know they've had to make changes recently. As a small business owner, I get it. But dang...I do GREATLY MISS shucking your own oysters, being able to bring your own items for a picnic, & being able to reserve a BBQ to use. Now, it just feels pricey - I'd rather sit inside (somewhere warm) & enjoy fresh oysters nearby. Yet, they deserve mad respect, gorgeous location & product :)

We sure lucked out on a beautiful day to stop in for lunch! We did not make a reservation on a Friday afternoon but we're able to get a nice seat in the sun right away. Server came and introduced self and asked if had any question. We knew we just wanted a couple dozen raw so we ordered. Added the Smoked Trout Roe and a side of Fried Seaweed, which was super tasty, wish they had that to go!! Was so nice to sit and overlook the water and there was good music playing too. All staff were friendly and attentive. Only negative is the price, almost 4bucks per an oyster that is grown & harvested right there! But guess how that is how it is nowadays.

Amazing, fresh seafood worth trying and the cod dip and grilled oysters in bourbon butter were outstanding. Take the time, make the reservation.

Hog Island Oyster Co. is very famous in Northern California. We all wanted to have oysters here. I don’t care if it is Raw oysters or BBQ oysters. No matter how you eat them. They’re fresh! They’re delicious! They’re swamped on the weekends. It is better to make a reservation in advance.
