I stopped by Alhambra Donuts the other day coming back from UC Riverside and on my way to East Oakland (detour route) and must I say it was an experience. The glazed donuts are bomb and the best i’ve ever had in the Bay Area so far my tastebuds were beyond satisfied. This is also a small family owned business so that’s also a plus because I get to support that. What really makes the experience stand out is the young guy with the beard—hands down the best customer service I’ve ever had at a donut shop. He’s friendly, patient, and made my morning better after that long drive. Great donuts + amazing service = perfect combo.

Fifth attempt to buy donuts here in the last three weeks. Have tried at 10:15 on both Saturday and Sunday. I am not exaggerating when I say they have less than 25 donuts and are not making any more until tomorrow. Plus, the only donuts left are the flavorless old fashions that nobody actually likes.
I do not know why this place even bothers to open. Today alone and in just ten minutes I saw six potential customers walk out empty handed. Obvious the owners are striving for mediocracy.
As to the staff, you know how some employees act like they hate their jobs? These two act like they’re victims of an oppressive manager that makes them work weekends.
I see no reason to ever come here again.
