Used to look forward to getting their cinnasugar bagels but the last few years has been mostly a let down. Now it's rare for them to be good enough to hit the spot for a craving. They never make enough of the cinnasugar bagels either, so many times going in within the first 3hrs of them opening and they're out already. Today's version of them...not the true recipe. Tastes and looks like they just added cinnamon and sugar ontop of plain bagels but didn't cook/toast them enough for how they usually crunch up ontop. And not enough of the larger sugar pieces in the mixture of cinnamon sugar. Normally its reg fine sugar with the chunkier sugar crystals and ground cinnamon. Always order them toasted but sometimes they don't toast them and with the higher counters now it's harder to watch to make sure they do. Biggest reason for the low star review, the cross contamination! Getting onions, leftover avocado, and other random flavors not only in the cream cheese but on the bagels from the counters as well. Completely throws off the proper taste of the sweetness of the cinnasugar. Not to mention can be dangerous for those of us who have severe food allergies. Even when mentioned about the allergies, it felt like I unconvinced them. Truly miss when those bagels were on point in flavor, a satisfied food craving of comfort food is the best. And super poopie when it's a big let down when you were so looking forward to a comfort food craving.
Believe the reviews! Expensive! The egg on the eggwich is runny and bland and for $12, at minimum I expect some type of flavor. 1 star only because the employees were nice.
Highway Robbery for a Breakfast Sandwich
I just visited Bagel Street Café in Martinez and was absolutely stunned to be charged $17 for a single bagel sandwich with egg, cheese, bacon, and sausage. That’s not a typo — seventeen dollars. For a bagel. No sides, no drink, no frills. Just a sandwich that, while edible, was nowhere near gourmet or unique enough to justify that price.
This kind of pricing feels less like inflation and more like exploitation. I don’t mind paying for quality — but this was standard at best, served in a takeout bag with zero explanation for the jaw-dropping cost. I walked out feeling like I’d been mugged with a smile.
Martinez has plenty of better breakfast options that won’t leave you questioning your life choices at the register. Unless you enjoy overpaying for mediocrity, steer clear.
I went there to get bagels for my office and believed I was overcharged. Because I was in a rush I didn't check the receipt and went on my way. The prices are high, but that's not my primary complaint. When I went back recently I made a similar order but paid attention when I was getting rung up. I ordered a regular cheese bagel and they tried charging me an extra 5 dollars for a ham and cheese bagel. I also ordered a regular dozen assorted and they tried to charge me extra for some more premium bagels that I did not request. I specifically ordered the regular dozen without premium bagels but they decided to ignore that and try to charge me for random premium bagels I didn't order. The bagels were fine but they shouldn't be up charging for no reason. Their prices are high enough as it is. I'll stick to Noah's Bagels.
Ordered a Eggwich with ham to go. Sandwich did not have the egg and the ham tasted moldy. The woman that made the sandwich did not use gloves. The ham was heated up on a “ burned “ plastic plate and the cafe could definitely use a good cleaning. I have been going to Bagel Street for over 15yrs, I don’t think I will be going back
First time here, was really surprised in the price being so high in reflecting the volume/size of the nova lox. Small considering it is $15.50.
For reference Noah’s bagel’s offers the same bagel sandwich in larger size, just as good and available for $10.50.
I've come here twice (both around 10 am) and they had almost no bagels left (even though they're open for another 4 more hours) . Both times I tried calling ahead of time to see if they even had anything left before driving over there and they didn't answer the phone either time..... not wasting my time coming back here anymore .

A little overpriced .but the employees aregreat
I’ve been in customer service for many years and I was blow away by the speed, efficiency, prep skills, and hospitality that I encountered today, I don’t know how long he’s been there or what position he holds, but make sure yall appreciate Waylin (hope I spelled that right) because people like him are the backbone of businesses in the US. 15/5 if I could
Had to run back in just to get this man’s name

They use to have the best cookies around. Pricy for small cookies but well worth it. Picked up a couple chocolate chips today, took one large bite and had to spit it out and throw them away because they were disgusting. Why would anyone change something that is perfect? Everyone knew and talked about how amazing they were. The recipe is ruined and they now have the worst cookies around. The Veggie deluxe bagel was tasteless because the bagel, veggies and the cream cheese are all bland! I am not sure if they recently switched owners but I can tell you that the prices are higher and the quality is much lower. What a shame! We use to love the fact that we had this gem in our town. They do not belong here anymore!
