Not a whole lot that's worth stopping for in Martinez except for the Buon Aroma Deli. I was helping out my pal Patch Garibaldi lay out the Caromneedles for his new Higgins-Popstarter and he said he'd spring for lunch. Well! As long as it's Buon Aroma, I'm all in!5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

I stumbled upon Buon Aroma when I was waiting for my dog to finish being groomed across the street. I was pretty sure I'd be giving this deli 5 stars before I even bit into my sandwich. The gentleman who took my order was so friendly and kind. He saw I had a baby on my hip and very generously offered to bring my sandwich out to my car when it was ready so that my little dude could rest comfortably. Very thoughtful. I ordered a turkey sandwich on a soft roll. It was simple, and simply delicious. The roll was so pillowy. The turkey was plentiful. Everything tasted fresh. I plan to treat myself to a sandwich every time my pup gets groomed from here on out!

I tried Buon Aroma deli by chance and was amazed by the quality and size of the deli sandwiches. Lots of freshly sliced meat and vegetables and fresh bread. Now one of my go-to meals, and they're on DoorDash. Very affordable too.

I ordered a corned beef sandwich & it was one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had. Better than Subway or Togo's.I was able to select my bread, condiments & all the fixings. If you want a delicious sandwich just like Mama used to make, I highly recommend BuonAroma.

Yes, it is a hole in a wall deli sandwich shop. Yes, you really need to try it. Somehow I have never had a bad sandwich from here. In fact after a few months I often crave this place. I wish I knew why. It doesn't look special it's a basic sandwich with everything in it yet it's so delicious, fresh, and just made right. You get tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, and onion. It's a very good amount of soft deli meat. The soft roll is a must. It's just a great "simple" sandwich that always taste good and leaves you wanting more for next time. Everyone who works in Martinez goes here. They have a great selection of chips and drinks. Enjoy!
