Visited this cute restaurant today for brunch. Beautiful pine paneled walls and checkerboard floors. Very interesting menu, with lots of delicious options. I ordered the CA Benedict - with bacon and avocado. Although it was delicious, I would not recommend the hash browns. They tasted like they were fried in old oil. Coffee was okay at best...no fresh cream options. Service was "no nonsense - business like". Not bad overall, but not 4 stars.

Great food and drinks, place was packed. There will likely be a wait, but the wait is something I would do again.

Some lunch before jury duty was the plan and a club sandwich was the deal. Fries were okay, but the sandwich was exactly what I was looking for. Service was fast during the lunch rush.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Let's start out by saying I'm not sure if the staff here are racist or just plain rude . Went here with a party of 4 ( all African American) was quoted 15 min wait time.. no issues happy to wait but when the HOUR mark rolled around and my self and party all noticed all the white people with bigger and smaller parties were just jumping the line and getting seated it became clear that the black people and the Asian family waiting for over a hour was just not going to be served. Went in to ask for an updated wait time only for them to say and quote "oops looks like I marked your name off by accident" with a giggle afterwards. She then said it will just be a few more mins. After that we just left cause if the service to just get seated is that bad the food can't be good. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING TREATED LIKE CRAP!

First time here, the food is great and the menu is a good variety of both breakfast and lunch. The place is a little crowded sometimes, waited a while for seating and service, but the food is good and seems to be a good value. I don't like to pay over $20 for a breakfast plate, here you can do for $12 or $15 so thats good with me.

Hostess conveniently did not write down our name, after waiting 40 mins outside in the cold we asked. We were told "oh I didn't write your name down, you have one party ahead of you then it will be your turn", not " oh I'm so very sorry, I will seat you next". How did she know where in the order we were if she didn't write down our name? Terrible first impression. Sat us at a tiny table pushed up again a pillar but yet a single person was seated at a booth. Asked for bacon crispier than normal..... didn't happen, coffee was very subpar. Food was nothing special, could get it anywhere that serves breakfast. Disappointing, will not be returning. Very unwelcoming staff.

Great breakfast, good prices, friendly staff and convenient location with ample street parking make this one of my go to spots! The vibe when you walk is business as usual for a breakfast joint - but they've got a couple fun add ons. The "Jury Box" - we are in downtown Martinez, get it? They've got fun tile floors, a huge specials menu and a nice courtyard. Depending on how heavy you want to go on food the Benedict's are great as well as the hash with the potato sides. On the lighter side the chicken salad is my go to. Don't forget about mimosas and bloodies!

Excellent Bloody Mary, fluffy french toast with two slices even in the half order, and a great breakfast burrito. Wait is usually 15-30 min for weekend brunch.

Great food. The portion size is great, and prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly. We stumbled upon this landmark by accident and were happy we did.
