2 out of the 4 orders was wrong even though they corrected them. The cocktail was weak, the menu was not wiped down and the table was sticky.

The food here is excellent. Love the bean dip they give you. Tuesdays they have a great deal on their crispy tacos. Haven't had a bad item here yet. Service is great.

1st time there but disappointed in food quality. The carne asada fajitas were tough and chewy. The entree was 75% peppers and onions. Rice was basic. The restaurant was filling up quick and hope the other customers got better results. I will try again but have a feeling that thier quality will be the same. I am mexican-american and have had great Mexican food throughout the eastbay. Again, service was great drinks good so we'll see next time

Everything about this restaurant is fine. Food is as expected, the bar tender is amazing..makes strong drinks. Only issue is the guests. Remember this is in Martinez and guests can be very white...and racist...be aware. There are regulars who think they own this place and will treat you like crap.

My food was just okay. Skirt steak was tasty, but overcooked.My partner's chile relleno was strange, in that the chili inside was tough and hard. Not tender and easy to cut with a knife and fork.Not saying it's because of this food, but my partner has had a slight stomach ache since.

While visiting downtown Martinez, we visited La Tapatia Mexican Cuisine: Martinez on Main Street for a snack. Roberto was behind the bar, and he's one nice guy! I mean, look at that smile and happy face! We wanted some guacamole, but I'm not a fan of pico in my guac. Not a problem. Roberto radioed to the ladies in the kitchen, and they made us a fresh batch, sans pico. It was a mountain of guac, and it was fresh and delicious! I know where I will be heading when I get a guacamole craving. I ordered a chimichanga and enchilada combo dinner for later that night and the next day, and both items were really good. The chimichangas had a perfect meat-to-beans ratio and was loaded with cheese; it even heated well in the air fryer the next day. The enchilada was really tasty; I would order the same combo again. I also got some tortilla soup that was loaded with veggies and very tasty. I used to go to La Tap for lunch pre-pandemic, and I would always get the delish shrimp salad! I love horchata; they have a heavenly horchata, which was pretty heavenly to me. Tequila, Kahlua, and horchata was a perfect combo. The specialty cocktails were $10.50, which was reasonable. The bean dip, salsa, and chips were free at the bar, and the busser kept them coming, which was so nice. They have daily specials, family deals, and drink specials. I wish I had taken photos of the specials they had on some of the walls. I did include photos of the menus, which include some of the specials. La Tapatia Mexican Cuisine: Martinez has indoor and outdoor dining. They also have a private event space.

My sisters and I LOVE LA Tapatia, it has been a family favorite for decades. We enjoyed a delicious lunch today after a successful lap around the Martinez Farmers Market. The food here is great, but what's even better are the lovely folks that work here! My sisters aren't "low maintenance" and our server and the server assistant kept them super happy. Thanks guys!! The food was underwhelming. We had to ask for salt. The salsa was tomato saucy or hot with no flavor. The dishes were just okay across the board with all 10 of our meals. We had to send the margarita back twice... tasted like someone added lime to jalapeno water. The watermelon shots were warm and tasted like medicine. Not the best mexican food experience.
