Great place to grab a meal on a Sunday. Outside parklit feels like a garden oasis. Band inside jammin. Farmer's market ear and eye shot. Sangwich came out quick and hit the spot. Got the Wild Boar and will be back. Huge Soda inventory. Recommended among the many spots to choose from in the area.

Not worth the price in my opinion. The only major kudos I'd give, is their sourdough bread was extremely soft. -.5 star for practically no avocado, though I paid extra. -.5 star for mediocre service. The girls making the sandwiches seem like they can't be bothered with. The younger guy working there was nice. -.5 star for no cookies that day. That was really the reason why I came here - I hear they're delicious! -.5 star because the sandwich was just meh, especially for the cost. $20.55 for a sandwich, chips and a drink. I hope to give this place another chance in the future, but I left feeling like the entire experience was...meh.

Luigi's Deli is a delight! Tasty sandwiches made to order and they make it so easy! Just grab their paper pads, circle your favorite bread, meat, cheese, and toppings and hand it over the checker. The chocolate chip cookies are made onsite. They use big chunky chocolate chips. Their cookies will have you coming back alone! However they have live bands, music, and a very cute outdoor seating area. It's a family owned business and a Martinez treasure!

Love the #1, Italian sandwich. So many wonderful flavors going on there. It's big and I usually get 2 meals out of it.

Tasty sandwiches, tons of drink choices, fewer chip options than they used to have but still a fairly wide selection. They have a nice sitting area outside with lots of greenery. Some of the young people who work here are very friendly and make the sandwiches quickly while rarely decreasing quality. Where they get fewer stars is the owner and his high pressure approach to pushing what he calls meal deals, that aren't really deals. I wanted to get a cookie with my sandwich. He put the pressure on for me to get a drink from the wall (more expensive choices) and said the cookie was free. I should have pushed back and refused but I gave in and picked one. I paid $20 for the sandwich and drink. He didn't give me a receipt, another negative for customer service, so I don't know what tax was, but the sandwich was advertised as $12.99, so that's nearly $7 for a drink I didn't even want.Parking: There's a small paid lot across the street and paid street parking. The area gets very difficult to find parking around lunchtime.

Luigi is amazing!! The food is delicious. There is outdoor and indoor dining. They also have a live band that plays music. There are so many options of drinks. I always feel welcome and at home here. Luigis also does rewards! One of the best sandwiches that I have had. There is such beautiful artwork on the walls. 100p% recommended

I want to give this place 5 stars, but I can't. The 3 stars are for the delicious sandwiches ONLY. I'm trying to be fair while also sharing MY odd/horrible customer service experience. I've ordered from here via DoorDash several times in the last few years. All would arrive quick, correct, and yummy. Today was the first time I visited in person. Cute outdoor eating area and sizeable indoor space as well. Fairly easeful ordering process... fill-out individual order sheets: check off what you want and write your name, go up to the counter, pay, and wait. I ordered 1 custom (that I pre-filled out) and a second from their menu, I just wasn't aware that I was supposed to write the # on a sheet. The person at the register was not friendly (older gentleman, perhaps the owner?) didn't respond to my 'hello' (maybe be didn't hear me?) - he was messing with stuff on the counter and looking around. I waited a couple of seconds, then put the order sheet on the counter. He took the sheet, and that's when I asked my question about ordering one of their menu sandwiches. When I asked for the sandwich # (because I didn't have my glasses and couldn't see the board on the wall) he turned to ask one of the other employees for it and just assumed I heard their answer. I had 1 other question, and he pointed to where on the sheet to check and begrudgingly mumbled what I needed to write. Because I knew (from ordering on dd) to ask for a combo (add chips/soda), I let him know that I was adding a combo to each sandwich. He didn't look at me at all throughout our entire interaction. Spoke only to give me the total. After I paid, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to get a receipt or if my transaction was done, but I guessed my time was over when he looked past me and directly at the next customer. Here's the icing on the cake... he must have all of a sudden regained his energy, because he was very friendly with the next handful of customers - including explaining in detail how to fill-out the sheets, informing them of options when ordering a combo (apparently you can do sides too), letting them know which drinks they could choose from, oh and that they had baklava and ice cream too. I waited about 10 minutes for my order - it wasn't super busy, but they had a steady line. The wait time was fine, and it gave me ample time to observe how welcomed and engaged all the other customers were. I give people the benefit of the doubt - perhaps he was having a bad day, a rough moment... I could make all sorts of assumptions about what may have been going on, but that switch-up was too obvious. I digress... I've spent the energy writing this review and googling other delicious local deli's.

Wow. Had to post a review for Luigi's deli. I've lived in the area for a while and have been in the store but more recently have been going more often for there sandwiches. I'm a huge sandwich person especially when it's well made and crafted. You also have the option to add several different veggies on top for those who love there veggies. On the menu there are many different options available from All meats, veggies etc. it's a comfortable hometown deli with cushy couches to enjoy you food. They also provide craft sodas, homemade cookies, different beers and wines if you so desire. Good warm sandwiches for the winter time when you just want to relax at home and take a nice meal home like during the holidays a warm turkey sandwich with cranberry and so many other varieties that fit the sandwich you desire. Staff is amazing the owner Luigi sat down and had a conversation along with the employees to make us feel home. Everyone wants to feel like they matter especially a customer they have the old type of Italian hospitality generous and gracious. Check them out.

When I used to live in the area I used to come by here all the time. Its a neighborhood sandwich spot that has one of the widest selections of sodas I've ever seen. When I stop by I always try out soemthing new here. Sandwiches are made fresh to order and they're always pretty hefty!

Excellent Italian deli, pricey but that's Walnut Creek for you. I'm from North Beach, talk about deli to me! Much better prices in upscale SF.
