Rob's Zombies is epic!!! They do not skimp on cheese or fillings, and great service ALWAYS!

The bread is to die for (no pun intended), and the cheese is nice and gooey. We were able to get helped even though some of the buns got too melted, they made it work for us. Also, there's plenty of seating and relaxing music. P.S. get the combo deal, chips and a drink for only 2.50

Our family frequents the farmers market on Sundays quite often and during the afternoons there really isn't a ton of light food options to choose from. We chose Rob Zombies to go and walk around. It was good. I really liked their breading. However, the cheese was too processed for me. There's something about fake cheese that is just off putting. I had the breakfast zombie. I wonder if you can get them with light cheese? Maybe I would have enjoyed it more. My husband got the pastrami & swiss zombie which I tried but again, the cheese was not great. My husband liked it and he has been back again. Its ok in a pinch but wont be my first choice.

Cool, hometown, local vibe. They no longer offer the pastrami zombie, but the other ones on the menu are delicious. Freshly made with melted cheese and soft, doughy bread, I usually go for the breakfast zombie. Will be back again!

I have really loved visiting this place in the past but they recently got rid of the best zombie and my personal favorite, the Pastrami and Swiss. A lot of people I know like that one, and unfortunately it means I won't be visiting as much in the future...hopefully they bring it back.

Yeah, I'm a regular; at least once a week. Favorites are the Pastrami Zombie and the Hot Link Zombie. Staff is excellent, food is great, and it's probably the cheapest lunch place in downtown Martinez. If you have never had a zombie...wtf is wrong with you? Get your butt over to Robs Zombies!

Rob's Zombies I am a fan!! I had the Concord location bookmarked to try and happened to be in Martinez and saw this new location and knew I had to try them out. I have been to this location 3 times in a week, just ridiculous but that just tells you it's that good. They specialize in what they call Zombies which are buns filled with yummy ingredients and some have a topping as well. The menu has a variety of zombies such as the original cheese, hot link, breakfast, pizza, pastrami & swiss and many others. They also will have special zombies on certain days which you must make sure to check out. Dessert zombies and a nice variety of coffee and beverages are also available. They are pretty much a one stop shop as you can come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I happened to visit on days that they had the special zombies which were pulled pork, brisket and cheeseburger. The brisket zombie was amazing, the bun was nice and fluffy. The brisket was tender and juicy, had the right amount of cheese and barbecue sauce. It was so full of flavor. The cheeseburger was also a hit as it was filled with a nice thick and juicy patty, American cheese, onions, pickles, mustard and ketchup. I also tried the pizza zombie, I loved that it had a cheese crust and the inside was filled with cheese and pepperoni, it had a little bit of sauce but not enough and it seemed hollower than the other variations. Overall, I really like this place and I will be back to work my way through the menu to try all of their other zombies. The customer service was great and the food was great!

Priced at $6, it is a super deal, bang for the buck. Maybe you need a quick something on your jury duty break...then Rob's Zombies is for you! Or after a walk at the Marina. Round out your Zombie meal and fun w/ States Coffee, Five Suns Brewery, miniature golf (very cute) across the street, Family and kid friendly. Wonderful date spot. Had a hot pastrami and melty Swiss cheese Zombie. Packed with very high quality pastrami - and it was stuffed in a very unique roll, not bready, just right. For kids there is a regular cheese. Lots of other choices. No waiting, everything is hot and ready to go! Note: Locals who grew up in the Mt. Diablo School District fondly remember these Zombies, served at school lunches.

I tried Rob's Zombies today and I was very happy. I ordered the ham and cheese and the bread was so soft and the inside was super cheesy. The service was fast and friendly. Plenty of tables outside and inside the restaurant. Very cool vibe to the place. I'll be back. Can't wait to try more flavors.

Great addition to Martinez. If you like American cheese and bread this is the place for you. We think of these as special treats on a Sunday and usually go to Patty's in concord but when you don't want to make the trek to concord this will suffice. The only thing I don't get is why their bread is harder on the top. I wish it was just as soft as the rest of the loaf. My favorite is their breakfast option. Great price for something quick and easy. Get their early cause they run out of options. Not the healthiest choice so keep that in mind if your health conscious.

Check this place out for sure. The owner (Rob I'm assuming) is awesome. His '38 Chevy is awesome. The Zombie's are amazing too!

I had the Zombie popper. The flavors were great. My favorite thing about this place is you can get something to eat quick, it won't hit your wallet hard, and you'll probably try something familiar in a new way.

When they first opened up I tried it a few times and thought to myself the bread is bland. Few years later and they've perfected the bread. It's tasty a little sweet and savory taste of the bread makes every one you try so good. My favorite is the Pastrami and Swiss. Portions are huge, ate two and was full all day
