Shuck It! Oyster Bar & Seafood

Oysters looked good but I opted for the crab melt. I thought the crab was decent. The bread was nice and toasted which was a plus. Otherwise I thought overall the place was ok. Small seating area which is understandable considering where they are located. Could be a fun spot with the right people.

I was craving a lobster roll, and this was the closest I could get. It looked appealing in the website photo but was lacking in taste, presentation and quantity. It felt overpriced for what it was.

Inside a market with a bunch of other cute businesses, literal oyster bar (up high seating) and normal tables by the bar. Other items to chose from such as chowder, ceviche, drinks, etc. And they have happy hour. Shout out goes to Eddie for the excellent service/experience.

I’m from Boston and I know my clam chowder. Eddie makes the BEST clam chowder west of the Mississippi!! Im not kidding. The ingredients plus the Bacon Bits are the Original New England clam chowder recipe!! When I come I always order it, plus I get a to go one for my husband!! Awesome!! Awesome food spectacular service

The service is amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Eddie is the best. He makes the best clam chowder! Having lived in New England, it’s so good and always hits the spot. The lobster roll is great, get it Eddie’s way where he doctors it up with some avocado and other stuff. So good! They’ve got oysters rotating from different areas, every time I’ve had them, they’ve been great! Lobster melt, crab melt, and seafood nachos. Have never been disappointed. Very chill vibes here. I work in the area a few times per month and this is my go to spot!

Clam chowder was poor quality and way overpriced. Heavily thickened by flower, with an odd artificial taste, clams OK but a little tough, broth lacked flavor. Would not recommend.

We are so happy we gave Shuck It! Oyster Bar & Seafood a try for date night while we were in town! From start to finish, everything was fantastic.

We kicked off our meal with the ceviche, and it was the perfect way to start—light, fresh, and packed with flavor. Next up was the clam chowder, made from the owner’s family recipe, and wow—it was absolutely mouthwatering! Then came the oysters, and they did not disappoint. Fresh, flavorful, and delicious, they were some of the best we’ve had.

The seafood slider trio was another highlight, and while all three were great, the crab slider was the standout—so amazing! The shrimp slider was delicious too, and in hindsight, we wish we had ordered some shrimp tacos to go with it. And the lobster? Oh, so fresh and fantastic!

The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly kind, generous with her time, and truly passionate about what she does. It was clear how much heart and soul went into this place. We also loved learning that she and her business partner own the entire food hall and another bar—now we just have to come back to explore the rest!

Shuck It! is a must-visit and any time we are visiting family in the East Bay, we will always make it a point to come back!

Love this place! The food is amazing and the service is above and beyond! Been here twice, once for our 15th anniversary and once for my birthday, both times had the mother shucker, some civic and beers, both times it's been a great experience!

Did taco $2 taco Tuesday here. It was okay nothing special. The al pastor was dry but the chicken was better. No salsa

I’ve had the lobster roll, seafood nachos and crab melt sandwich all at different days and times. All were wonderful! It’s a kind of place where you want to try everything on the menu! So good I’m going there with my friends next month in June and trying the lobster melt. Being a home girl from Maine I know it will be worth it. Really you have to go and see for self how wonderful this small wonder is! ?

Excelente! Outstanding! Food is great, staff is careful, and atmosphere is out of this world. Friday evening is the thing. Menu is so tasteful. Whiting any budget. Don't go to the city to taste an excellent chowder, come here and support local businesses. Cheers..
