Used to love this place but the coffee made me sick. Couldnāt finish it, tried asking them to remake it where they made sure to tell me itās my fault because they make their cappuccino like a latte. What? Anyway, not even cute foam art & they donāt sell avocado toast anymore. Blah! I wonāt waste my time driving over there anymore. Also parked outside and got a tool stuck in my tire. Lovely!

If you happen to be in downtown Martinez area do yourself a favor and skip the chain coffeehouse and go to States Coffee! Coffe is amazing and so are the pastries. My only complaint is the had the most amazing avocado toast and they no longer do toast. I recommend the Honey latte!

I donāt care how my coffee is made. I care that it arrives honest. At States Coffee, it does. The space is raw and industrial, flooded with light, as if thinking itself were encouraged here. You can work, study, sit in silence, or pretend youāre a philosopher unraveling something important. Friends talk softly. Dates linger. Music hums in the background, unobtrusive, almost indifferent. When the cup is empty, take a walk along the marina to round out the experience.

I stopped by States Coffee today, my favorite spot in Contra Costa. The vibe is cozy, and the coffee is phenomenal, but the real highlight is Janibel. She took my order with the sweetest smile. The Lavender Honey Latte was absolute perfection, smooth, slightly sweet, and hands down the best Iāve ever had. If you havenāt been here yet, youāre seriously missing out. Great coffee, excellent serviceā¦

The most important thing I will say here is that the Honey Latte from this States Coffee is the best coffee drink Iāve ever had and I STRUGGLE to find any other coffee drink as conparatively delicious. It is rich with coffee flavor, just sweet enough, and extremely well balanced. Perfect latte, I feel addiction jitters if I donāt get it every Saturday / Sunday.
