I stopped by States Coffee today, my favorite spot in Contra Costa. The vibe is cozy, and the coffee is phenomenal, but the real highlight is Janibel. She took my order with the sweetest smile. The Lavender Honey Latte was absolute perfection, smooth, slightly sweet, and hands down the best I’ve ever had. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out. Great coffee, excellent service…

The most important thing I will say here is that the Honey Latte from this States Coffee is the best coffee drink I’ve ever had and I STRUGGLE to find any other coffee drink as conparatively delicious. It is rich with coffee flavor, just sweet enough, and extremely well balanced. Perfect latte, I feel addiction jitters if I don’t get it every Saturday / Sunday.

Just visited this place for the first time and it won’t be my last. The coffee was as good as I expected and I had high expectations. My surprise came from the donuts, we tried the chocolate and the blue berry and oh man were they amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Delicious coffee. No sugar needed. I had a standard drip. Had Jury Duty in Martinez, this is a few blocks from the courthouse. Looks brand new inside. Huge, multi storefront open space inside, separate family area. Tons of place to work or just relax. Classic red brick, black steel interior. They roast coffee inside the space - a little loud and a little stinky but cool nonetheless. Had a danish and it was delicious. Large bakery case with lots of choices. Prices: average for the area. $4.00 drip cup. Need more exterior signage as I drove last and didn’t know what it was until I got to the side, main entrance. Stop By!!

If you’re looking for good coffee in the area, States is an excellent choice. They also have solid baked goods if you need something to go with it. If they have it available, try the veggie scone or chocolate babka

I’ve been going to this place for years, and even with staff changes the quality always stays the same. Every Sunday and Monday I religiously get my coffee here in the morning. Yes, the line may be long sometimes, but that just shows how good their coffee is and that it’s worth waiting for. Unfortunately, I can’t remember everybody’s name of the typical Sunday and Monday morning crew, but every time I walk in there, I feel like I’m being greeted as if I’m in an episode of “Cheers”. Ariel and Graci are definitely the MVP’s there! Big thank you to all the staff for always providing great service and coffee!
