Staff will verbally assault you after one drink and then cut you off if you say anything. Literally the worst possible place you could drink. Worst bar I’ve ever drank in 37 years of going out.

I really liked this place until my most recent visit. In the past, the late-night bartenders have been engaging, friendly, and made us feel welcome. That completely changed when we encountered Cece.
From the moment my sister-in-law and I walked in, there was no greeting, no engagement, and no hospitality. The very first thing Cece said to my sister-in-law was to tell her to remove her hoodie and glasses. I explained that her glasses were prescription transition lenses that change with lighting, Cece acknowledge the prescription but dismissed that explanation and claimed it was for “security.” Within just a few minutes of us arriving, she was already treating us like a concern.
The only clear difference between us and everyone else seated at the bar was our skin color. No other guests were questioned or scrutinized the way we were. The experience felt like blatant racial profiling, and it was incredibly uncomfortable and disappointing.
We left and went to Nu-Rays on the next block, where the contrast was immediate, warm, welcoming, and respectful. When we mentioned what happened, the bartender and other local guests even commented that Cece is known for profiling guests, which made the experience even more upsetting.
It’s sad and unacceptable that behavior like this is tolerated. I sincerely hope ownership and management address this issue, because no customer should feel targeted or unwelcome based on the color of their skin.

NO! $9 for a Negro Modelo Tap???
2 beers = $20 w/tip.
Maybe I’m in the City at a cool trendy bar.
Nope, I’m in Martinez being served by “Miss Indifferent” and being Overcharged at what is supposed to be a Dive Bar.
Should have gone to NuRay…..even at Troy the draft was $7 and that’s a nice restaurant.
Too many other places to go - not going back - 12/20/25 Saturday Nite

Fun local club. Opens earlier than other clubs. Can be some drama at times.

The night staff is very friendly on Friday/Saturday nights. I forget her name but she is blonde and young, she is super awesome!
The day staff wouldn’t serve me cause they don’t accept passport.

First time here very bad experience they are racist. If you’re not white, you cannot go here I got kicked out for no reason. The lady at the bar said it’s mandatory to leave a TIP you have to earn a tip. It is not mandatory and it is not legal. Ridiculous I will definitely not go here and not recommend this to anybody. They expect you to leave a tip or they kick you out. I will file a complaint against the business. I was reading through the reviews and I’m not the only one that got kicked out. A tip is optional!!!!!!!!!

Definitely a local bar where anyone can drink alone or with a friend in a comfortable and quiet setting without the need to impress others. A limited supply of beer on-tap, but a full selection of bottled beer and a good selection of hard alcohol. A long traditional bar with large screens for watching sports.

Bartenders here are hit or miss.
You can't order a "tall" mixed drink here (i.e. more mixer in a taller glass), you'll get corrected that it's a "[drink] and [mixer] in a pint glass." I find that confusing, but whatever.
Then if/when you get a different bartender and try to order it the way they want you to order it, they cut you off because they "can't understand what you're ordering." They think you want a "pint" of alcohol. I assume she didn't hear me say "coke" and, like an idiot, thought I was asking for a pint of rum. Then she decided to be coy and rude about it: "you can go down to the store and buy a bottle." I was so incredibly confused, I actually thought she was messing with me. Then I realized she wasn't when she told me to get out.
It all makes me so angry. I've never been to a dive bar that didn't know what "rum and coke, tall" meant. Amateurs and old white women on power trips.
For what it's worth, the rude bartender was an older lady with brown hair and painted on eyebrows. Try to get someone else if you can, or better yet, spend your money elsewhere.
