I hate to make reviews like this. But I feel I need to add my voice to the herd of voices. First, a confusion came from disconnect of what each of waitresses said. Once we’ve been told it’s fine you can do a kid size of a serving, and next waitress said with a long face it’s a not true. The second, a beer menu has a lean choice. Why you don’t stuck up local beers?. I am pretty sure people are looking for it. Okay and the icing on the cake: brussel sprouts… it’s a good sign for me of how cooks care. In that restaurant they don’t, this is my worst brussell sprouts I ever tried. Too much of wasabi/mustard sauce, too much of the oil. A few layers felt like dried chips. This is a rare situation of returning the meal, but I really didn’t want to play a bad guy role in from of my kids

I would drive all the way back to McCloud just to have this meal again. My husband and I were both super impressed! The staff was kind, prices were reasonable, and atmosphere was beautiful!

Not open at 11:30. Came at 12:45 and still not open.
We ate here last fall 2023 and the food was amazing!! Couldn’t wait to come back and eat here again. We’ve been back twice this year and the food has been horrible! Not sure if owners have changed or what’s going on but it is pretty bad. Not going back again. Waitresses were nice.

I greatly enjoyed the experience. We ordered many many appetizers, probably 15+ and they were good. Brussel spouts were cooked well just quite a bit too much lemon for my liking but about half the table enjoyed it. We also ordered the wings, tacos, pretzels, and others that were all delicious. The drinks were made well, next time I'm in McCloud I will definitely go back here!

Average meal. Was recommended to us but not what we thought it would be. Waited long for our food and at the time we were 2 of 6 people in the restaurant. (Odd that the waitresses kids were running around in the event room next door too).
Great food and atmosphere! Beautiful historic building (the banquet hall adjacent to the dining room still has the original hand-painted ceiling). The grilled zucchini skewers were amazing! They're huge (each one is literally a quarter of a full size summer squash cut length-wise), and they were just the right amount of crunchy and not overcooked but still tender. The Chicken Basket is a great "value meal", and the chicken tenders are actually pieces of chicken (not blended mystery meat). It was a great meal after a full day of outdoor activities.

We arrived on a Thursday, soon after the restaurant opened. They have a lovely patio. We asked to be seated outside and were told 'Sorry, but we've moved all the tables inside for a wedding tomorrow'. ?Really? I guess just events are valued customers. Anyhow, I next asked to be directed to the restroom. I'm not really picky, but the restroom was one of the filthiest I have ever been. I'm not talking about one person made a mess, but rather the ring in the toilet clearly disclosed it had not been cleaned in weeks. It made me wonder how often the kitchen was cleaned. I also wondered what tomorrow's bride would think about her guests using it if she knew... I returned to my seat and watched as an employee was moving chairs to sweep. This was not sweeping up crumbs from one party, but rathermoving the chairs from every table and sweeping. The kind of sweeping that should have been done at the end of the last shift, or prior to re-opening. We ordered and recieved our meal in short order. It was good, but not particularly remarkable. While we ate, three employees chatted within earshot about what was going on in their lives. I couldn't help but think at least one of them should be in there cleaning that filthy restroom. Needless to say, we won't be returning. I hope the bride the next day is not too embarrassed about the place she chose to have her special day.
