You can't beat a little hole-in-the-wall spot that still does it right.On our way from flying at Marshall to go fly at Torrey Pines, we were lucky enough to find this hidden gem. It might not be a polished diamond, but the food was good and the prices, well, all in, it would probably cost me more to make them myself. Everything was very inexpensive. Portions were good and the coffee hot.If we're passing by in the AM again, will definitely stop by.

This was the first time here. Absolutely will never come here again. Food was ok and I'm being nice. I ordered the chorizo and eggs burrito and there wasn't any eggs in the burrito. It was hot when served and that was nice. I also ordered hash browns and bacon. The hash browns were cold as well as the bacon and the bacon was greasy. My husband ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns and wheat toast. He got eggs over easy. He didn't like their food as well. Coffee was watered down. Horrible coffee. The menus were filthy and hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Service was very slow and not asked how the food was. Poor service. Ambiance. This place is a dive. It's filthy old worn out booths and dirty. This place has no ambiance. People rated 4.4 stars. Really overrated. It's definitely NOT a 4.4 star restaurant.

This is definitely one of my top 3 local spots and this one is like a hidden gem. Very small town atmosphere and vibe. The food was great and much better than I had anticipated or expected. Definitely worth the stop if you catch them when they are open. 5 of 5 I highly recommend Annie's restaurants.
I really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews. Obviously, it has a lot of return customers and people who love it, so maybe I just hit a bad day, but the Carne asada was inedible. The service was non existent. The prices were the only redeeming factor. I normally love hole in the walls, but this place on this day was not a good experience.

It's a little hole in the wall, but don't be fooled by the outside appearance and location, the inside is old but very clean.The guy that cooked our food doesn't have the best hearing but pardon my language but damn that man can cook, he whipped up our breakfast in no time, the aroma of our food being made in the kitchen was great for we were the only ones there when they first opened at 6 a.m.The food hands down was beyond delicious and real, not like the fast food premade in a factory type you get at Red lobster or Olive garden for Denny's or IHOP, but home cooking at its best.The French toast was great, omelet on point, and eggs and sausage perfect.The prices are insanely cheap, it's like I was looking at a menu from the 90s, I hope the guy at least a profit, that's how low the prices were.I will definitely go back again.

Was hoping for a better experience after such high ratings, Must have been the locals! Wasn't horrible, but wasn't great. Limited parking, really busy and fast highway in front. Not a very inviting front. A couple people pulled in, saw the restaurant, then left. No air conditioning. Chorizo and eggs were bland, needed salt and hot sauce to give it some flavor. The carnitas burrito was pretty good, the best of our dishes. Tostada was good. Menudo was supposed to be available on the weekends, but they were out by 10:30 on a Sunday. They were also out of guacamole for the taquitos. Overall average experience. I doubt if we'll be back.
