I recently ordered the jerk salmon sandwich with beans and rice, and when I ordered over the phone the gentleman taking my order was very polite and accommodating. He really made my order perfect because when I got there it was ready and well made. The food here is absolutely delicious 😋
That's the best way to describe it, even the lady who manages the restaurant is very kind, with great vibes that makes you feel very welcome, and her attitude really adds to the wonderful experience of this restaurant, as well as everyone working there, I love it!
My compliments to the 👨🍳 chef who really knows what they're doing because the food is so amazing 👏 😊.
I give this restaurant Backayard in Menlo Park 5 stars easily!

Been going to the San Jose location for many years prior to Sharks games. My wife grew up in Jamacia, we have visited a bunch of times. This place is legit!!! I live 60 miles away, so if I am in the south bay I make sure to swing by. My mother & father in-law require it! Oxtail and curry goat combo every time! Wife loves the jerk salmon.

This is a take- out restaurant with limited outdoor seating. Beef patties and greens were my favorite. My baby enjoyed the max and cheese, while the curry goat was also delicious.

The jerk chicken plate is SO good.
Don't sleep on the green sauce they give; I always try to get a couple extra.

Excellent Caribbean grill food. Oxtails were perfect. Plantains...perfection. Chicken was delicious, moist, light smoke. Best Caribbean food I've had in Bay Area.

This place is dangerous! If I lived nearby, I would eat here EVERY DAY! The portions are HUGE and the food is delicious. I had the Jerk Chicken and Pork Combo and WOW! Chased it down with a Guava Pineapple drink. Even had the Key Lime Pie to go. Next time I am down in this area, I will make sure to go here.
My Lady had the Rice and Beans with Sautéed Vegetables and Mac and Cheese.

We tried the jerk chicken, oxtail and curry lamb. Everything tasted great and the portion size was plenty. The price is reasonable, cheaper than other Caribbean restaurants in Palo Alto. Rice with beans was flavorful and the fried plantains offered some extra carby nutty sweetness. The best dish was jerk chicken with a pronounced smokey flavor! Will definitely come back for more.

Would never eat there again. This is not authentic Jamaican cuisine. The jerk chicken was just grilled chicken (very dry) with green sauce on top. The rice and peas had way too many onions in it. The bbq links were okay but the sauce was more sweet than expected. There was no seasoning on the fries. Coleslaw was the only thing worth eating....everything else was straight trash! NEVER AGAIN! GD on that folk

I ordered delivery and was served raw chicken! The worst part is it was half cooked half raw so I didn’t notice until I ate a few pieces that tasted funny and looked closely. A day later I felt light headed and threw up a few times ?.
Although the many times I ate here before the food was good, this scared the hell out of me. Won’t be eating here in the future.
