I went to Vida for lunch with a friend. I hadn't been there in a few years. It was just as good as ever. I will definitely return sooner next time!

Bistro Vida is a favorite spot for our family to ring in the new year. It's become a tradition for everyone young and old where we all can come together for a nice dinner and toast the holidays. The staff is excellent and friendly. Oli makes us feel like family.

We enjoy the calamari so we split an order for our appetizer with a French 75. For diner I thoroughly enjoyed the Sole with the asparagus risotto and my dinner mate loved every bite of his cassoulet with duck & sausage. Our service was great and the restaurant was trimmed for the holidays. Because it was packed when we arrived, it was very loud & jovial and hard to speak to each other. Overall, a great experience!

We have been going here for many years and have never been disappointed! Last night my friend & I both had the Sole Meuniere, which was beautifully prepared, not overcooked. It came with fresh green beans & cherry tomatoes and we both opted for the frites, instead of roasted potatoes, because the frites here are so good! My husband had the special of the night. Swordfish, which was prepared with a creamy sauce. He loved it, as it was juicy and perfectly cooked. We had a great evening!!

We came on Thanksgiving and it was a busy time for the staff. We opted for the steak frites and beef bourguignon which were delicious. Split the Tarte tatin for dessert; generous portion and it was also great. Very nice wine selection at reasonable prices. Loved the atmosphere and our meal and will definitely be back.

I love Bistro Vida, but Thanksgiving dinner is not their forte. The turkey and ham seemed like deli meat both is presentation and taste. The veggies were OK and the soup was quite good. I will definately return for their regular menu, but skip it for thanksgiving.

I love this place. It's a great casual place to meet up with old friends over a delicious comfortable meal. I'm particularly fond of the roast chicken and the steak frites.

Cool vibe and atmosphere at this new bar in Menlo Park. We went there for a glass of wine before dinner. The cheese plate was underwhelming and when we told our waiter we couldn’t cut one of the cheese blocks he took it away with his fingers and brought back another equally as hard block. When we got our bill we told the other waiter that the cheese block was inedible he said “That’s what people say about escargot but they ordered it.” And when we checked our bill we realized they charged us $20 for each glass of wine when menu said $18. The waiter said the owner wasn’t around and the easiest way for them to resolve that was giving us $4 back, which he did.
The place was full when we left for dinner with laughing people and birthday party gatherings of friends.

We have been here several times, but this was visit was not the most pleasant. We had a reservation, but we had to wait quite a while before we were seated. Service a was very slow and perfunctory. Moreover, the noise level was terrible. The food is excellent, but going on a Saturday evening was a bad choice. This was for my birthday. The restaurant knew this, but the occasion was never acknowledged or honered.
