Great service. Good food. I shared the Caesar salad with my spouse. I enjoyed the Sole. My spouse enjoyed the Coq Au Vin. We both ordered the Sauvignon Blanc. My only request is to update their glassware for their wine. We dined outside. It was a beautiful night! I would definitely come back here again.

Vida is an excellent restaurant in Menlo Park. The food is great, fresh, healthy, delicious. And it's a good value for the quality and preparation of the food. We had an enjoyable experience of fine dining, and look forward to going back for more. The oysters were excellent. And the escargot was perfectly prepared. The Caesar salad was perfect, and the steaks were excellent. What more could you want, oh, a reasonable bill.

For many years, I've loved Bistro Vida but never written a review. This is a terrific French restaurant in downtown Menlo Park that serves delicious versions of most of the classic French dishes -- Moules Frites, Steak Frites, Boeuf Bourguignon, Cassoulet, Coq au Vin, etc. On this visit, we were celebrating the anniversary of our first date, and Bistro Vida made it extra special with complimentary glasses of champagne, terrific service and (of course) wonderful food. In honor of the occasion, we even ordered dessert -- a to-die-for flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Days later, I am STILL thinking about this dessert, which tells you how good it was.

I've been a big fan of Bistro Vida for years. I'm addicted to their roast chicken and laid-back French bistro vibe. Their new venture, Bar Loretta, which is next door, looks interesting. But there's one flaw that drove us nuts last night: the music from the bar was loud and pounding. It really interfered with the conversation and broke the French vibe. Please rethink your playlist. How about some Jacques Brel or Edith Piaf?

It was a birthday dinner so I wanted delicious food and charming and not formal atmosphere. It was all the above! And to top off the wonderful service, the waiter brought my friend a beautiful crème brûlée with a lit candle! Oh, so perfect!

We sat at the bar - had cocktails and ordered dinner which was delicious! The beautiful interior and Parisian vibe is a much needed addition to downtown Menlo Park. Thank you Bar Loretta!

We invited a friend to join us for lunch and the whole experience was a delight. It was a warm day and we chose to sit outdoors in the shade. Perfect! Our guest had gnocchi and loved it. My husband had a chicken Caesar salad and I had the smoked salmon tartine. All delish and perfect for the warm weather. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. Ali, the owner, has made such inventive additions to the menu. We are looking forward to trying his new next door addition, Bar Loretta.

I had the Huitres (half-dozen oysters), Bouillabaisse, and Les Fromages (three artisanal cheeses with toasted baguette, honey, and jam). All were perfectly prepared and presented.
