So low key and yet delicious sandwiches and amazingly friendly service. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a sandwich.

The store is very well-stocked, clean, and competitively priced. Great selection of snacks, drinks, and miscellaneous pantry and household items. Their deli has tasty sandwiches made with care. The location is super convenient if you're on the West Menlo/Sharon Heights/Oak Creek side of Stanford.Overall, it's a great place to shop and support a family-run small business :)

I moved to this area from the east coast after graduation and getting a new job. It's really expensive in west Menlo even compared to the east coast which is also high priced but I'm glad I finally started coming to country corner. The deli is a really good price especially compared to most the stuff around here. It's actually cheaper than a Safeway sandwich and so much better than most I've tried. They make their own thanksgiving type turkey with wine and I got it on a sour roll with Swiss. Was amazing. About $18 with chips and a drink. I gave them a tip also for the good service. It was really busy during lunch but somehow unlike most delis they managed to clear the whole line in under ten minutes. I've been to places where it takes longer to serve one customer. They are super efficient and have so much stuff besides the deli also. Basically a completely grocery store and I'm going to check out the wine and whiskey selection next time when I come after work instead of my lunch break. They were also super friendly and welcomed me since it was my first time. Looks like most the people are regulars and very loyal. I think I found my go to spot!

I've always passed by this place and finally checked it out. What a surprise! Their sandwiches are delicious! I'm so happy I came here. I ordered the salami sandwich on sour roll with everything except pickles. Added pepper jack cheese and pesto sauce and I fell in love! Every bite was tasty and amazing. Not sure if it was the pesto sauce with mayo and mustard but it was freaking delicious. The lady who made my sandwich was nice and friendly. Could be a bit of a wait but it is worth waiting! I also love that they have variety of snacks! Even ones that takes me back of my childhood days. I am definitely coming back!

Cute little deli in the back of this corner market. I loved that everything looked super clean and organized at the deli. The two women working back there were friendly. The sandwiches were very neatly made and didn't make a mess to eat. All the ingredients tasted really fresh. Great spot for some tasty sandwiches!

Semi decent sandwich if you have all day to wait. Hey, I got an idea: hire someone else! Yay!!!!

Bob's Country Corner is a staple of the surrounding neighborhoods of Menlo Park/Palo Alto/Atherton/Redwood City! Quaint little convenience store with tons of options for just about anything you might need to stop in for. I've gotten sandwiches here that are very good for a fair price. Sandwiches are made right in front of you with very fresh ingredients, and they have a lot of different options for meat, cheese, and veggies. They also have tons of different and unique snack options, many of which aren't available in your average convenience/grocery store. If you have a sweet tooth like me, they offer tons of variations on your typical desserts/sweets, many of which I'd have to guess are imported. You're sure to find something you like!Staff is very kind and welcoming as well! I highly recommend stopping by Bob's Country Corner if you're in the area!

The pastrami sandwhich was really good but needed more meat. The condiments almost overpowered the pastrami. I did a pick up order and was a little disappointed when I sat down to eat lunch and it looked like I was skimped on the meat.

Really appreciate these folks, sandwiches are always very good and the staff in the back is second to none. Just always feel like I'm family here - even after a long day this little joint is such a pleasure to visit. Love spending my money here and won't stop, shout out Issa behind the counter - first class hands down let's go !!!Note: to those complaining - these are the stores that are so hard to find with everything being franchised here in 2023. This family owned business is of a dying breed. If your not happy with something I'm more than confident the team here would do anything and everything to make it right - communication goes a long way.

The best deli on the peninsula. Super competitive pricing. Fun, interesting history. Character. What else could you want?

I have been going to Country Corner since I was a kid for over 20 years as I am a local of west Menlo Park. I remember the owner Bob knew everyone and treated them like family before he passed away from cancer. But his sons and wife who have been there with him since 92 are still continuing the legacy and I figure it was time to write a review because they have always treated me like a son and now my kids are beginning to experience the same. I see some negative reviews but it seems these reviews are the usual suspects who go into a place thinking they are the Siskel and Ebert of food. I assume most havent given them a chance and every place isn't 100% all the time. They probably didn't realize that this place usually does whatever it takes to make the customer happy and they will gladly refund or make you a new sandwich or even give you a free one the next visit. What's important is how a business is after being tested many times. Like any science the more data the better and you can't test anything only once and expect to know accurately. Anyways... First the deli, they have workers who have been there for many years and know their customers. Most the patrons are either locals or workers in the area and you can call in an order in case they are busy which they usually are. What I like is that the owner Nadia is like everyone's mom and she applies the same rules to her deli as her own kitchen. Make sure everything is fresh and clean. Most deli are pretty dirty, don't have fresh produce and meats and are run by people who generally really care. They also make their own salads (chicken, crab, egg, and tuna) which are amazing. The bread is really good especially the Dutch crunch, they mostly use Columbus, Foster Farms and Boars Head so it's top quality deli meat and they cut the veggies and meats every morning which not all places do. They are fast and mostly accurate so even if the line is long it moves quick. They also have pre made Sandwiches in case you really don't have time like for a work lunch break that's short. They really aren't "premade" they are made at 11am I see right before lunch each day. Now we have to get into what happens if something doesn't go right which it does for every business and the real question is what they do about it. If for any reason you aren't happy they will no questions asked make you another sandwich or refund your money. Sometimes they give you a free sandwich the next time if you are a repeat customer. They basically will fix anything they don't do right whether it's deli or general store. Also customers cannot come to the deli on Sundays and expect it to reflect how the sandwiches usually are. I actually asked about this and the problem is that the bread company doesn't deliver to them on Sundays. It's just out of their hands. Also the main workers aren't there it's their day off so they don't cook their famous Thanksgiving turkey or Tri Tip Steak sandwiches or make their locally famous salads. But they usually make them Saturday morning they told me so it's almost as good. Just sucks about the bread so don't go in there thinking this is how it always is. Everyone needs a break and they work hard enough and I never really see them missing any other days off. Really committed workers and I can't hold that against them because I have read a couple reviews before posting mine and saw they came in that day. Next is the general store area. They basically have everything except a butcher or produce selection. They have the basics like apples oranges limes lemons red onions tomatoes but nothing extensive. The beverage selection is actually more extensive than major retailers. They have so many different types of beer, wines, liquors, juices and sodas. Crazy how they fit it all in a corner store sized area. The son Issa took over the alcohol drinks from his dad who knew everything about wines and other drinks. He really gets carried away because he loves it so much lol. T

Make sure that if you want something from the deli to wait in the line in the middle isle otherwise your screwed. I was on the side and 2 people who came after me went to order. Then a lady came up so I was going to go. Nope the employee called her up. Then 5 other people get in line so I had to get behind them. So about 10 people went before me when I was first. Ugg. They are a little shop and they have a bunch of stuff but be prepared to pay the price. Same cake mix at Walmart for $1.25 is $3.99 here.Parking is psycho. Checkout should be one person at a time. There was a line and the lady just helps whoever instead of taking whoever is next. There was three sandwich makers they were pretty quick. I got an egg salad sandwich and there wasn't much egg at all. So I wouldnt say the price you pay is worth it.

was not a fan. i'd been here before a couple years back, but sadly i was less impressed this time around. I ordered the tri tip steak and when my sandwich was ready and i paid, the sandwich was pretty cold. no hate, it was busy and the guys making my sandwich also had to check me out to pay at the front counter, but the sandwich itself was nothing special. definitely not as good as the last time i was here. tri tip was bland and roll was nothing to write home about. produce was tasty but that's about it

Had a great deli sandwich here. Good pricing for a good sized sandwich. They also sell lots of snacks, chips, candies, drinks, and alcoholic beverages as well.
