Dosa Point has recently renovated their space, its beautiful (check out the wall paper)! When you eat their food you can tell that they cook with very fragrant spices. Their dishes are always delicious, elegant and consistent. I’ve tried many Indian restaurants, this one has the best flavor! Will go back again and again!
I have searched the Bay Area for over a decade for a dosa that reminds me of a good Bangalore dosa.
The freshness of the ingredients - the delicately sautéed onions, chillies, sitting on top of a warm crispy but soft inside potatoes all wrapped up within the goodness that is a dosa! Accompanied with a fresh coconut chutney, tomato chutney and a sambar which is mild with a sweetness in it

I used to live in the area, and every time I stop by I have to come back to Dosa Point. It’s just good classic south Indian food (idli, vada, dosa, uttapam) along with other curry options. The vegan menu labeling is a little suspect i.e. things that *should* be vegan are not labeled as such, but in general it is accurate and you can always ask the staff. Compared to a lot of indian restaurants, they have a good understanding of veganism and default to oil rather than ghee.
