It's decent pub food (certainly not the best), but at the right price point and with reasonable quantities especially for a location in the heart of Menlo Park. Think of this as a sports pub. If you like pub food in a sports environment, you'll appreciate Dutch Goose. In the years I've been coming here, I've come to appreciate their consistency.
I like that you order at the counter and then choose your own seat, indoor or outdoor. I can see how this place gets incredibly crowded at times, so beware of that. I believe you can reserve a spot for large groups.
In terms of food: * Decent selection of beers * Fried onion rings and fries were good - I've had better with lighter batter, but these were good * Burger was okay - I've definitely had better, but it served its purpose * Pastrami sandwich was a hit (according to my son) and really hit the spot for him - I had a bite the next day, and it was quite good (with that nicely oil-toasted bread) * Not sure what brought me to order a french dip at a place like this, but I enjoyed it
I would come back again, and I can see how it would be a really fun place to watch a game with friends and other fans.

The name sounds fancy, but the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The decor is festive & lively, and staff is very friendly. Food is nothing out of the ordinary, but they have a wide selection of great menu items. Everything I've ordered there has been great, and the portions were good size. I usually eat there every time I'm in the area, which is pretty often. Definitely check it out if you want a good burger or pizza!
