I was in town visiting Stanford University. This place is close to campus. Good food and a good selection of beers. Will come back when in town.

Nov 7th 2024 Stopped for a quick lunch Chorizo tacos - ? Wifey got the carnitas tacos - ? Al pastor tacos were OK they could do with a little more seasoning They should have more salsa flavors ! Service was top !
Unfortunately it seems that new leadership of this restaurant by David is resulting in what was once our favorite family-owned and operated place becoming a restaurant that charges for salsa and tries to undercut with to-go orders, leaving items off but still charging full price. I’d rather see their prices go higher if they need to increase revenue than resort such behaviors. I hope the owner looks into this more.

Overall pretty solid, we ordered the Aztecs and it was filling. We added chicken to the quesadilla and it was seasoned so well. Definitely want to come back, this fed two people and we were both full ???
Kid-friendliness: Lots of both indoor and outdoor setting. Also a kids menu with a coloring page.
Wheelchair accessibility: Two big doors for entry.

A serene brunch spot. The staff is amiable and the atmosphere is tranquil. The open-air setting is not too warm in the summer. The menu has many good breakfast options. My personal favorite is the 'Just Eggs' meal. A standout feature is the fresh salsa. Overall, the combination of pleasant service, satisfying food, and fresh salsa makes El Cerito a place I enjoy visiting.
