This place has brought San Jose cuisine to the peninsula. We're so happy we found this spot. The Mexican food on this side of the bay lacks authentic flavor...Mendozas' is it. The chile relleno plate with those AMAZING hand made tortillas makes the ESSJ girl in me very very happy. The vegetarian sopas are on point. The fiancée got the chavindeca con pollo. Very fresh, packed with favor, just like abuela and tias would make them. BOMB DOT COM.

This is our first time in Redwood City in many years. With so many taquerias in the neighborhood we were definitely happy with our choice. Authentic Mexican food, family known recipes, the menudo was amazing. My burrito with al pastor was one of the best ones I've had. I have a lot of experience ordering this style of meat and this did not disappoint. The waitress, which was probably the owner, made sure that we were happy and we had everything we wanted. Clean, comfortable, great prices. We will definitely come back again.

Amazing food ! Amazing prices , the staff was so great . They were super friendly very attentive and just so wonderful. The chile verde was so good my meat was just the tiniest bit overcooked but still super flavorful so were the rice and beans , the birria was amazing ! The tortillas were so soft and fluffy great flavor as well , the menudo was also very tasty ! This place does have new owners now ! The previous reviews were left for old owner ! I would definitely recommend giving this place a chance

I am shocked at the low ratings. I heard of this restaurant by my colleague who insisted this is the best Mexican food and she was correct. I have tried a few things on their menu and everything has been great so far. You can tell it is made fresh! My favorite being their Enchiladas.

Delicious food but non of the employees use gloves to cook and they should because of covid 19

Im highly upset with my order! I was charged for a bottled coke and received a warm can, I ordered menudo and it had NO tripe in it ! So I paid for for spicey soup! And to add insult to injuries, I doordashed it so it cost me 26 dollars! I feel ripped off I'm pissed

Horrible service. Super slow too. Food was not worth it. For the price you pay you can eat somewhere else. Save your money.

Worst mexican restaurant in redwood city. Horrible service and steep prices for food that does not taste good.

First the good stuff: The Food. There’s a large selection of offerings in the menu. All seem to be very authentic and properly prepared. I tried the Michelada con Cameron and it was one of the best micheladas I’ve experienced. A frozen mug rimmed with chili and salt with spiced boiled shrimp all around the rim, a spicy sauce in the bottom, and filled with Mexican beer. My spouse’s burrito was large, flavorful, and well presented. The chips were very crisp and the salsa flavorful although a bit spicier than I could handle. OLE!
