We had been there before in the past, but nothing prepared us for last night. It was a crowded Friday, but the only good thing was that we found one table for 2 indoors. We waited for 15-20 minutes at a sticky table before the harried waitresses (continuously rushing by us with platters of food) noticed us. We gave our orders, to wait for another 20 minutes without even tea, water, let alone the beer we had ordered. Then a bowl of boiled rice was thrown into the middle of the table. Then 10 mins later one of the orders, was delivered the same way : fried crab, turning out to be five tiny shrivelled crab legs, no wasabi, no sauce. Then with 10-15 minute intervals came the beer, fried shiitake ( same pitiful presentation as crab), and finally a normal platter of sushi with ginger and wasabi. Then we asked about the main fish course ordered and the waitress exhibited a totally blank face, at which point we asked for our bill and left, with no tip. I don't think anyone noticed or got the message anyway. First time we had such a nasty experience in Palo Alto OR anywhere else. What a fiasco?

All around amazing! Absolutely delicious and the staff are extremely friendly! Truly heart broken to find out they are moving, have been coming for more than 14 years. But the wonderful staff and menu are moving to there sister restaurant Kanpai Sushi, at 330 Lytton Avenue Palo Alto, CA 94301

If you want to sit down at a place that finds pride in everything they do, this is the place to spend your coin. The place is clean, the staff is kind. They care about presentation. When facing your chopsticks in the correct position is important to host (which it was) then you know important things like food prep quality is also important. The fish is great here. The sauce is great. We came for gyoza and a roll and left after eating four rounds of food. It's been so long since we had good sushi, we completely gorged ourselves, and we'll be back.

Last day of business August 21, 2021. Sushi quality is good. AC was not on and it gets a bit warm inside.

I'm usually not too picky with sushi, but my husband and I both thought that this sushi was sub-par, especially for the price and quantity. We ordered to-go and the service was good. We have had better sushi at Daigo.

I have been going to Koma Sushi for years and it is one of my favorite places to get sushi along the Peninsula. Their fish is always fresh and their menu is very authentic. I find that the staff are always very kind and helpful.

I like this restaurant! They offer delicious food, their menu is rich, The cook in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I enjoy a lot trying all their dishes. The food is always fresh, the attitude towards the customers is good. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I highly recommend it.

Coworker introduced me to this place while on a work trip. Can honestly say it’s become one of my favorite sushi spots in the Bay. Highly recommend!!!

We love Koma Sushi for its delicious food and great service. We've been coming here for years. Our kids always ask for Koma sushi when we ask what they would like to have for dinner. Koma has great food, quality sushi and sashimi and they know how to cook and prepare their food well. Their hospitality and their food is so comforting, we had great memories eating there. Pre-pandemic this is the go-to Japanese restaurant for a lot of families in Menlo Park and surrounding areas. Right now they are doing take-out and maybe some outdoor dining (check with them). They also have other locations in Portola Valley and Palo Alto (Kanpai).

Authentic Japanese food, made and served by Japanese folks! Lovely place to go to. They have efficient take out process too.

I did not get my order and they waited for 1 hour. They were unfair. The number of employees and interested is insufficient.
