We had a truly wonderful experience at Lutticken’s. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, which immediately made my family feel comfortable.
What really stood out was our server, Carlos. He was attentive without being overwhelming and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. He checked in on us consistently, answered our questions with patience, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. That kind of service makes a big difference.
The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Every dish came out well-presented and tasted great. It’s not always easy to find a place where both the food and the service are equally strong, but Lutticken’s delivered on both.
We left feeling appreciated and taken care of. A big thank you to Carlos for making our family’s meal so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back.

And Luttickens' was a Real German Immigrant, made this an American Dream, Menlo Park institution.. God Bless Luttickens' Hearts and the joy for stomachs. Merry Christmas. The communication from this restaurant is unmatched. When we sat down for dinner, the waitress promptly told us it would be quite the wait for food due to an incredibly large party. We did wait a while for food, but she consistently checked in. When it was time to pay our bill, the other large party inconveniently informed staff that they were splitting all of the bill between individuals and we witnessed the staff work diligently for 25 minutes to get every detail right on the checks and cash them out with no complaints. We also witnessed the other inebriated party treat staff poorly and overall be terrible guests to staff. Staff never wavered, acted annoyed, upset, etc. and continued communicating delays to us. 5-stars all around. Food was excellent, atmosphere was great, staff was incredible. Band was also great!

Went in for a nice Veggie Sandwich, they have one, my favorite, with eggplant. I ordered the Veggie Sandwich just like the board said, I paid and went back to work. Opened the sandwich and there was no eggplant. Well mistakes happen, I called to tell them. This is when I got really unsatisfied. They told me I order the wrong sandwich, that I should have said Grilled Veggie. I said the board just says Veggie! Never mind I'll just dispute the charge with the CC company, Im not wasting my time arguing with a scammer. Why Scammer you say? Well explain how they made the wrong sandwich when I called it Veggie at the prep station but charged me the right amount when I called it Veggie at the cash register. Get a grip! Customers are not stupid and own your mistakes. If by calling I would have received an apology it would have been 1000 times better and I would have said no worries at all, it means I need to come back sooner for my fix. Anyone can make a mistake and I always excuse people when they make a silly mistake like this but putting it on me that's not acceptable.
