Absolutely a memorable evening with excellent food and service. The menu has something for everyone. We love the ambience and vibe.
It felt like home...dining by the lit fireplace, watching the Fiesta Bowl on tv while enjoying a delicious burger. What could be better on a chilly Thursday night?
Consistently great food & great service. Frank is a great & attentive waiter. Always love dining here.
not good. martinis not full. hamburger bun too thick, hamburger tasted like too long in freezer. waiter started clearing before everyone at table was finished.
My butternut squash pasta was very good. It was on the specials list. Others had scallops (so so), salmon (so so) and one other type of fish that again was just so so. The avocado toast was fabulous and their tomato soup and butternut squash soups were very good.
We really wanted to like this place, and it has all the right elements, but couldn't execute the day we went. Our plates were both overcooked, and cold - bleh! I sent my plate ('Snapper') back, and it returned hot, but not remade, and still overcooked. My wife's salmon was doused in a ratatouille that overwhelmed the the taste of the fish. During the meal, we decided we wanted some bread, and it took 15 minutes, with the wait staff telling us a couple times, "It's coming..." By the time it came, we had finished eating, so we sent it back. We won't go again.
Really a lovely and very attentive experience. Great place to catch up with friends and a cozy environment.
Delicious food and excellent service! We were helped by Selena and she was so wonderful with our two young kids. She even brought our daughter a little bear. Highly recommend this restaurant for young families. Also ample parking!

Staying at the Stanford Hotel I was able to have food from Menlo Tavern get sent up to my room and I was very delighted to see the big portion sizes. The burger was absolutely delicious and the sauce they have in it pairs very well with their burger patty. The fries and salad were delicious and more than enough in size for a single person. I greatly enjoyed their warm fresh baked cookies at the lobby of the hotel. I highly recommend to check it out especially if you are staying at the Stanford Hotel!

Tomatoe soup with Grilled cheese was outstanding. Burger excellent. A little noisy but definitely a number 1 place to have lunch with friends.

We are not sure we will return to the Menlo Tavern due to their very limited menu. The selection of items was small and no specials offered. On the positive side, food quality and service were excellent. Also, the ambiance was good so we could have a conversation with our friends without shouting. Bottom line, if Menlo Tavern would increase the selection of items on their menu, I suspect their patronage with increase.
Lovely atmosphere, especially when sitting by the fireplace. The staff is friendly and very attentive. My only complaint is that the rack of lamb I ordered had a total of 4 bites, with very little meat. Very nice presentation, but not much food. Highly recommend ordering their sourdough to start with, it's so fresh and delicious.
I booked a table for outdoor seating but when we arrived, we were told that the patio was closed. I wish we were notified earlier so we can make other plans. One of us has an immunocompromised spouse at home and the only reason we chose Menlo Tavern was for the outdoor dining. It's a shame that they didn't bother to let us know before we arrived. Otherwise, food and service was good.
Beautiful setting but food was overpriced and less than mediocre. Example. $32 for a cheese plate with 3 small wedges of cheese and some grapes. And they forgot to bring crackers.
